This needs a phone call but I can't find anything marked "DERBY RTC" or even "RTC" on the panel in the Derby area. Also, is "Kingsbury Shunt Frame" the same as "ELFORD GF" on the panel? Seems the nearest one. Also, where is "Litchurch Lane C&W Works"? Baffled again. Last edited: 27/04/2015 at 09:16 by maxand Log in to reply |

The RTC is accessed via Pway siiding and research siding on centre panel. Kingsbury GF is off sim (on saltley) and is located on the west end of west panel where trains enter. Freights for kingsbury can be recessed at elford until they are accepted. "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply The following user said thank you: maxand |

Thanks jc92. Can you also help me with Litchurch Lane (added to my earlier post)?

Access to & from Derby Litchurch Lane is via the lines marked 'C&W WORKS' at the rear of Derby PSB.

Maxand I took this photo back in December, 1987 at the west end of platform 1 at Derby. Cl.45/0 45052 is coming off the Up Goods(West) heading for Chaddesden ballast sdgs passes a Cl.31/4 31404 which is standing at GPS 437 waiting to come out of derby Litchurch Lane with an empty freightliner 5 set. To the left of this photo out of view would be Derby PSB. Hope this photo answers your quiery about Litchurch Lane. Post has attachments. Log in to view them.
