Please excuse me if I'm just being stupid, but how do the Ground Frame releases work in the new Ed'burgh sim? I've not come across them before. Thanks, Sam Sam Wainwright Log in to reply |

The ground frames are now controlled by lever frames. If you look under Show/Lever Frames in the sim. Described in detail in the wiki - http://www.SimSig.co.uk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=usertrack:ssrun:simuse27 Log in to reply |

1) Could the mods move this to Edinburgh instead of NE Scotland. 2) There is a manual bundled with the downloads for Central Scotland and Edinburgh. It would be very helpful if there could be feedback about the clarity and ease of understanding of these manuals. If you have a query about the new sims, could you try and find the information in the manual first and feedback if there are any problems. If the information is there but you haven't found it there is an issue with the layout of the manual, if the information is there but you can't understand it, there is an issue with the clarity of the manual and if the information is not there then the manual needs to be reviewed for content. Please try the manual before posting on the forum to assist with getting the manuals right. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

1) Beg yer puddin', didn't click that there was an Edinburgh sub-forum, my bad. 2) I was unaware there was a manual included with the sim; generally speaking most sims don't have a manual bundled and I was simply looking for a little help, rather than an invitation to RTFM... However, now I know there is one, I'm more than happy to look at it first. Sam Sam Wainwright Log in to reply |

Sam Wasn't having a go - I was trying to point out to all users of the Forum that they could help with the manuals by giving feedback. Sorry if you read it as a dig. I appear to have a problem with Torness GF, trying to get 6S43 Kingmoor - Torness into Torness Power Station. Train passes groundframe and stops at ED466. However I cannot release the groundframe by clicking 'F', it says 'cannot release frame'. I have tried replacing several signals behind it to red by using the 'E' button and cancelling the Auto on ED484 but no effect. Doesn't appear to be anything about any other requirements for this groundframe on Wiki either. Any ideas? 1E08 is racing up behind it rapidly!

Always happens just after you post lol - ED468 was the offender. It was already at red because 6S43 is in the section, but needs the 'E' button pressing, something I hadn't noticed!
