Evening all, I am working on a new TT for SwinDid, intended to be chainable to Bristol and Westbury, for the period in August when Bathampton Junction is under a 24/7 closure. Certain trains from London Paddington are terminating at Chippenham, then working ECS to reverse onto the Up Main by using the crossovers at Thingley East Jcn. But the HSTs then have a gap before heading back into Chippenham station: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/advanced/THNGLEJ/2015/08/03/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt Both OTT and RTT (OpenTrainTimes and RealTimeTrains) only give the Thingley East Jcn timing point for reversals on HSTs..... http://www.opentraintimes.com/schedule/P04601/2015-08-03 ..... while DMUs include both Thingley East Junction and Thingley Junction timing points..... http://www.opentraintimes.com/schedule/V52152/2015-08-03 However it seems probable that HSts could reverse at either SN27 (on UM) or SN627 (on DM) due to the way the signalling is laid out. In the event of using SN27 would the correct timning point be Thingley Junction or Thingley East Junction? Same for SN627 reversing. Dave Log in to reply |
