When the NX panels were in operation at Edinburgh signals EH510 & EH512 would normally step onto a Double Yellow aspect following an Up Train implying that they and E506 & E508 were normally set to work automatically. On this basis I was surprised to see that the overlaps for E502 & E504 continue over the points in Princes Street gardens and do not stop just short, especially with the low line speed at this point. Is this something that can be checked?

I've had a look at the NX panel photos and there is no O/L marker other than the ones I have. But I've had a look at the IECC diagrams and there does seem to be ROLs on both those signals but would be under the X button I guess. That might make the operating a lot easier Thanks Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Can I email the photo's to you and see if you can make sense of them- I think you are correct but it's not clear to me what's what. PM/email me your address if you will. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Peter I've re-checked the photos and Andrew is correct. It's not possible to see on your photos because the overlap dot is hidden behind E847 Shunt Exit Button. However if you look at Geoff's low res photos you can see that the overlap for E502 stops short of the points. You can also see in the photo that the signaller is crossing a train from 504 to line W with a route set up to E502. So 502 overlap should only go as far as T498. E504 overlap is correct on Line Z but it should stop short of T521 on line Y. I'll put it on Mantis. Kev Log in to reply |
