Dear SimSig team. I find your simulations very attractive, and well programed. I understand that you have good knowledge about how the English CTC works in relation to working-layout(blocked track due to work-in-progress etc, train-numbers displayed on the tracks etc...) The way your simulation works is very similar to the way Danish CTC works. Major differences is things like colors(locked/ocopied/free-track) and symbols(signal/crossing/platform) My question is therefor: Is there any chance that you could see yourself programming a Danish CTC, or are you only interested in programming UK CTC layouts? My very best regards Andreas Ps. Ive tried to attach a picture, showing the Danish CTC. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Hi Andreas Thanks for the kind comments. Looks similar to EBICOS that I worked on in Norway. We'd have to have scaled scheme plans (showing lengths of each track section including over points), some interlocking knowledge, timetables, etc. Would certainly be interesting. If possible can you give me a reply? The CTC on the layout is from WABCO and signals/points (GRS). Waiting for a reply. Ps. Sorry for invade your topic FlyingA. CTCThiago. Log in to reply |

No problem CTCThiago, are you talking about a different CTC layout? Im happy to hear that you find it interesting Geoff. I will begin to investigate where to find the requested data. If I can ask you to specify the two following things: 1 - "over points" 2 - "Interlocking knowledge" Thanks for your quick reply guys Best regards Andreas Log in to reply The following user said thank you: CTCThiago |

" said:No problem CTCThiago, are you talking about a different CTC layout? We need to know the lengths of each section of track, and by that I mean not just distances between signals, but where the joints between track circuits are (or where axle counter heads are positioned). Sometimes people say they have scaled plans but it turns out only to be block section lengths, not individual track circuit / axle counter section lengths. "Over points" just meaning all legs of a point (switch). Also speed limits and gradients. Interlocking - where do I start! Aspects displayed by each signal, and their meaning (since I'm not that familiar with Danish signalling). Approach control, if any. Approach locking timer values. Do you have "local shunting areas" like Norway? If so, their boundaries. Flank locking. Most answered by control tables - but they might need translating! SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

Hi again GeoffM I'v now established contact to the company in charge of the Danish tracks and signal-systems who will find information about each track-section on the stations (the various track-isolations) and also the signals and their positions. I understand that you need information about the various signal-aspects and the rules they operate by. I have a lot of knowledge about this, and will be more than glad to provide you with english explanations about these. Also, I have the manual to the Danish CTC(in danish) that I will translate for you. It describes how you operate the system and i details showing all the different symbols that can be displayed. I hope Im not totally "off-track" regarding what you need, and I appreciate your openminded attitude towards this project. B.rgds. Andreas Log in to reply |

Im currently collecting information regarding track-sections, isolations and associated signals. This is one of the maps, showing the details. Im currently working on the length of each track-section and how they'r being blocked when different route's are set. Log in to reply |
