Standard timetable 5A05 departs P9 to reverse at LS361. The driver thinks he's stopped at 361 but he's got another 7 coach lengths to go and is blocking as far as points 5527A. The Reverse Direction command doesn't work like it used to (Train List says "manually reversing" but the train doesn't move). Log in to reply |

I think it was changed to stop people reversing trains to avoid ACOA penalties. It's also more realistic as trains can't reverse immediately in real life. Kev Log in to reply |

Just as a thought, could this be avoided if the stopping position for 5A05 at LS361 was edited in the TT (would NX or FX force things to happen as scheduled).

In fact, the stopping position is FX, so perhaps that's the problem ! I talked the train into P6 and told it to have another go and it's blocked again.
