Littlehaven slots w/queue of trains 15/06/2015 at 02:07 #73376 | |

I had a points failure at Horsham itself that quickly caused a backlog of trains on the down line back from Littlehaven. When the fault cleared, the first two trains went through OK (one of which had already cleared the LC), but then subsequent trains are not getting the "Slot off" release on the Littlehaven LC. The gates remain closed so passing the signal at danger doesn't have any negative effect (with regards to messages about trains passing the open LC goes, that is). I'd guess that because they were queued as opposed to approaching normally, the normal trigger for the slot being given isn't working properly or something. Additionally, in what I suspect is a completely unrelated issue, in the other direction right at the start of the game, the first train to pass through in the up direction had to be talked past. In this case, the slot was given but the gates were never closed, so I got a message saying that a train had passed the LC without the barriers closed. Subsequent trains in this direction worked fine. EDIT: Forgot save. The snapshot is the one just before the points failure is fixed; I haven't tried reproducing it but I'd be surprised if it's not reproducible. The second save is my current state, after already having passed one train at danger through the gates, with the second also not getting the slot. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. " said:I had the first train (2C45) also detained at Littlehaven. The slot light was lit but signal 894 would not clear. Further to this, Roffey Rd & Parsonage Rd failed, probably due to operating too long. I, too, called 2C45 past but did not get an "Open LC" message. All the failures cleared once 2C45 was away and the next train (2C01) got through fine. I can submit a save file if necessary but it is 4mins prior to the fault and may not replicate. on a similar note, I have a train which has called to report a delay at Faygate (on the down). i replaced 887 and 891 to try and get roffey road barriers raised and to allow littlehaven to raise his barriers. the slot remains given and his gates closed. how would this work in real life? a phone call to the crossing keeper, or can he see active replacement switches? Funny enough in the real world we have had a fault on LH5 slot on T891 for most of the morning and still ongoing when I left work, resulting in trains being talked passed T891.

Was a fix ever found for this? Because I seem to be having exactly the same problem. In my case, as train 2C45 approached Littlehaven, the "Gates Closed" flickered (as opposed to flashing normally before the gates have closed completely) as though it was trying to light but was unable to. Dunno if that helps. Is anyone debugging this? I can't get 100% now. :( I want my 50 points back! Haha! Log in to reply |

I'm having the same problem with 2C45 at Littlehaven - it gets stuck there and won't go past signal 894, with Parsonage Road and Roffey Road then failing due to the length of time spent closed without any trains passing. It's rather frustrating, but at least I'm not the only one who's having this problem.
