Question: Am I right in thinking that every TT currently available for Victoria South East is incompatible with the latest version of the sim, which in my loader is showing as 1.5? Is this also the case for Victoria Central?

I’ve just checked and all the ones I have seem to work (bar the January-May 2015 v1.1, which the sim says is not a timetable). There does seem to be a few trains in some timetables that won’t seed or have slightly invalid routes (lines not being specified at certain places, mostly Metropolitan Junction), but in my experience that is usually the case anyway.

Yes, I downloaded all available TTs and opened them up using Vic SE Loader v1.5. The only ones that gives the incompatibility message are the updated default 2009 TTs. The funny thing is that the first time I tried the "Saturday January 10th 2015 ver 1", it told me it wasn't compatible. I tried it five minutes later (without doing anything) and it worked!

Very strange. I haven't tested all the Vic Central TTs out but I assume the same is true, with the updated default 2009 TTs being the incompatible ones.

Weird.

It seems the issue with the default timetables (00:00 start) is that 4B62 seeds at signal ME152. The TT analyser complains that it is not a valid entry point for the scenario. ME152 exists (the last non-controlled signal on the Maidstone East fringe prior to Kemsing station) and the train successfully seeds at it anyway. You might have actually uncovered a bug in the sim’s code!

Incidentally, trying to seed a train at any of the other ME signals (ME160-ME172) results in the train not appearing at all.

There appears to be a similar issue with 2K03-1 seeding at L633 (East Dulwich) in the Victoria Central default (00:00 start) timetable. Again non of the London Bridge signals appear to be valid seed points.

Reason: L633 is at East Dulwich, not North Dulwich

Remember: Trains will not enter if the timetable is "invalid"! Something I found out while running Motherwell's 1984 timetable.

So my inept bungling may have been for good.

Hi Mark, were my 2012 ones ok? Will sometime in the future be updating them for UIDs so just wondered if I needed to look at this area of them as well.

Sorry for not answering this earlier. I would hope that newer versions don't render old timetables incompatible. Occasionally we do make changes where there is no option but to alter a bunch of trains (extending Coventry, for example) but in most cases there might need to be the odd tweak at worst.

As for the other issues raised in this thread, noted for investigation [15163 for the moment]. Thanks.

Yours seem to be OK (I’ve only run the analysis tool on them). The only issue that came up with them was 2B29-2 seems to have stops in the wrong order; however, if you look into the timetable itself, it seems to be correct. 7O70-2 has a rule stopping it from appearing in the 04:45 start…I suspect this is because the train it relies on (0O70) leaves before 04:45 and so was removed from the timetable, but the rule was not. I haven’t looked at the Victoria Central ones properly as yet.

Hope that helps!

Having looked into this a bit more, it's a half dozen trains in this sim (not VC) in the default timetables only. Some are warnings, some are errors which seem to relate to changes made to Battersea Yard. I will fix those but the other 99.6% of the trains are okay.
