Trains not entering or entering very late 16/04/2016 at 07:40 #81858 | |

I hope someone might be able to help me. I've created a 2016 timetable for Leeds and am in the process of testing it. I am running loader version 4.5.9 with everything up to date. I have been testing in 'Beginner' mode with all failures set at zero. In my timetable, no trains are set to run as required or as 'specials'. All the initial seedings and services seem to run properly, including those entering from outside the area and the first two workings from Neville Hill TMD. However, having run through the initial part of the TT multiple times, trains from Neville Hill after the first two workings consistently start entering with very significant delays (60-90 minutes). I have run the TT through to mid-morning once, and am experiencing no trains entering at all from Apperley Jn and heavily reduced/late running from other entrances too, particularly Harrogate and Methley Jn. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Log in to reply |

Have all your trains got the same unique ID?

Not all of them, but yes at the moment many trains on the same route have the same UID. It sounds like I might need to make them all genuinely unique?

" said:Not all of them, but yes at the moment many trains on the same route have the same UID. It sounds like I might need to make them all genuinely unique? You will. Only one train with a given UID can be in the simulation at once- any other trains with that UID will be held back until the first leaves the area. UIDs for trains in the current timetable can be found on Open Train Times and Real Time Trains. If you're going to use UIDs in a timetable, they need to be unique for each train- otherwise, there's not much point in having them! It might also cause you problems with timetable activities- if a train has activity N: $123456, and multiple trains have the UID '123456', the simulation might not select the one you intended it to.
