train descriptions don't carry into Wrenthorpe but it is possible to interpose a description for a train leaving. is this prototypical? i'm 99% sure the berth is for departing trains from the sidings but can be used for the turnback but thought it was worth checking. trains stopped at sandal and agbrigg show as being beyond the platform on the sim due to the way the platform and TC's line up as drawn, again not sure if this is how the real thing is displayed. also, I've had a train depart from Wintersett opencast. did this train actually run as I thought Wintersett had been closed for years. Some paths "may" have been in-used. I will have a look at the other issues tomorrow Noisynoel Log in to reply |

Down signal at Glynde is off but there is a train still in the section so should this remain at red until its cleared of the OL at Berwick? Post has attachments. Log in to view them. RIP Feltham Panel 1 Log in to reply |

Will have to check where the standard semaphore overlap ends, I suspect the train is clear of the o/l for the down signal at Glynde, Both BK14 and BK 13 share the same track circuit so the overlap shown is for BK13 signal and NOT BK14 signal. How long is 1F64 please to ascertain where the rear of this train is with regard to the overlap for BK 14. Paul You have to get a red before you can get any other colour Log in to reply |

If they share the same TC, I'd be surprised if the interlocking would clear an automatic signal in rear, as there's no proof that the train is clear of BK14's overlap - from the Simsig representation, it even appears as if that same TC is also the berth TC for the BK14!

Gents Missed a annotation on the diagram showing overlap distance on BK41 signal. Fixed in the next release. Paul You have to get a red before you can get any other colour Log in to reply |

I know what the answer is going to be but I'm still going to ask, is Sheffield going to be updated to chain with Leeds NorthWest? Anytime soon?

To my knowledge it's not hard as long as the actual Sheffield programmer is on hand. It's Sheffield knowing what data/code to send and what to expect to receive. Most of the new sims have this programmed in for future updates, older sims didn't have the foresight we do now. Last edited: 12/09/2016 at 22:41 by Guts Log in to reply |

On East Coastway, long (160m) down trains calling at Pevensey & Westham stop whilst still fouling the crossing. It seems the platform is indeed shorter than such trains, but should the trains pull forwards by a few coaches (i.e. default stopping position of N/NX) rather than hanging out at the rear? (Same occurs at Berwick for long up trains) At Polegate, the section of track covered by the TD for PG3 does not show occupied when a train is on it, after the TD has stepped to Hampden Park. Also at Polegate, the barriers cannot be raised with CDB4-PG14 set. This can occasionally occur when the crossing was lowered for a down train which has just cleared whilst the route has been set for an up train that is still some distance away. All, On behalf of Paul Curran and myself many thanks for all the feedback on the three sims, however, can I please ask that any issues are posted in the relevant part of the forum, eg Ardesley issues under the Ardesley section of the forum. It is getting increasingly difficult to search through this post to work out which bits relate to which of the three sims. Many thanks Noel Noisynoel Log in to reply |

(Same occurs at Berwick for long up trains)** This is correct behaviour, in some locations a white cross was used to indicate a different stopping point (Sandwich on the up until 375 units were introduced), however this didn't apply to the locations in the East Coastway sim. ** This has been fixed in the next version for release (resulting from a change of track section arragements at Polegate on the down line. *** Noted and a change is being worked on as part of an overhaul of the level crossings. My origanal intent to start this topic was so myself and other users could thank the developers for the 3 sims that were released. Its my way of thanking the developers for all the hard work and many hours they spend creating these wonderful sims.

Going back to stopping positions on East Coastway, 2D07 has a very interesting interpretation of where the station is, having not reached the platform! Image attached (assuming it works on the new forum...)

Danny This has been reported previously on the bug tracker and has been rectified on my dev copy. I am just waiting to discuss a fix to something else with another developer and then a update is in the wings. Paul You have to get a red before you can get any other colour Log in to reply |
