Details of the meet are now up to date on the Wiki here.

Although there currently no plans to charge for this meet, it would be helpful if anyone wishing to attend could fill in the form on-line here. You can see the list of those who have responded on the spreadsheet at this link.

I would ask you to fill in the form if you wish to attend so that we can keep track of the kit available for those who want to take part in a multiplay session and also to advise the venue of the likely attendance so that they can staff up accordingly.

If you fill in the form then wish to amend any of the details or remove yourself from the list, please PM postal who will make the necessary changes.

No it doesn't - not now I've corrected it/them. No excuse except stupidity.

Plans have been made for a visit on the morning of the Sunday after the meet (16th. October, thanks Geoff) to the Tramlink Control Room and Depot at Croydon.

I have added an additional question to the sign-up form (available here) asking for those attending the meet to indicate whether they wish to join the visit on the Sunday morning.

I have contacted by PM those who have already signed up so that I can add their responses to the Attendance List.

I am a bit of a noob and never attended a meet but have been playing SimSig for years. I have replied provisionally and can only confirm nearer the time in case I am warned for work.

Just one question, what is a power strip :S

If I knew what it was I may have one

Also, may be interested in meeting for an informal meal/drink on the Friday too

More commonly known (at least around here) as an extension lead

Thanks for that, then in that case I can bring a lead with 4 sockets... Otherwise known as an extension lead with 4 sockets

Power strip takes less typing.

I have applied to join the meet for the 15th October but not the visit next day: hope I am not too late to have sent the form.

Cheers,
Dave

I'll need to advise the pub and Tramlink about numbers a bit nearer the time but the shutters are not down yet.

It would be helpful if anyone who has not yet signed up but wishes to attend either the meet or the Tramlink visit could sign up before the end of this month.

At the lower left of the website there is an Upcoming Events entry for the meet. When I get a moment I will add the signed up users from John's link but in the meantime if you wish to register directly and save me some time, please do so.

Is there still space on the visit to the Tramlink control room?

It is showing both events as being at 13:00, not 12:00. That's even though I'm in the same time zone (Europe/London) as the event is.

In the "Upcoming Events" panel the meet shows as starting at 1200, but when I go into the event it shows as 1400. My timezone is GMT+2 so the offset is correct, assuming that the 1200 is GMT not BST.

Until such time as Geoff gets everything set up and I can get access to the 2 lists Geoff is producing, could you please continue also to sign up on the Google form online at this link so that I can keep track of numbers for the pub and Tramlink.

Until such time as Geoff gets everything working properly, the definitive list is still at this link in Google Docs. You are still on that list.

I won't be able to come to the meetup BUT I am interested in the Tramlink visit - I have indicated my interest on the Tramlink visit topic and also on the Google Form you have supplied in this topic.

Only thing is what time does the Tramlink event start and where do we meet up as I have no idea where it is

In post #85284 on 22/09/16, I asked people to sign up by the end of the month. At the end of September, 10 people had signed accordingly. That was the number of prospective visitors that I have advised to TfL.

Since then 1 person has asked to be included only through a post in this topic and 2 other people have added their names to the list as well as posting here.

It does the standing of SimSig no favours when I have to go back to our contact and keep on asking if we can increase the numbers. I will be telephoning our contact later today to see if we can increase the numbers above 10 but I am not happy about having my personal credibility reduced as a result of other people being unable to get their act together.

If we are able to increase the numbers above 10, I will made a further post here. If we cannot, then only those people who are shown on the list here with a timestamp before the end of September are on the guest list.

I still don't have details about the time when we can visit or arrangements for access but they will follow in due course.

Thanks to the helpful response from the people at Tramlink, I have managed to obtain access for all of those who have requested a place for the visit. The visit will start at 10:00 on Sunday morning (16th. October). I will PM those who have signed up to join the visit giving details of how and where to meet.
