Problem with Rule "Train must not depart from Z until X minutes after Y has finished dividing" 12/11/2016 at 15:01 #87307 | |

I came across this problem while running a sim where a Rule is used to control the departure of a loco that detaches from a train. The loco never moved and was stuck waiting for the Rule to be satisfied. To investigate what was going on, I modified a previous test WTT that I had set up for Exeter (which is not the sim where I came across the problem, by the way) to see what was happening. Not being sure if a Loco Detach was treated as a Divide activity by the Rules code, I created two ECS trains and got one of them to detach its loco and the other to divide. I then got the remaining portions of the two trains to divide again in case the Rule didn't check for the divide completion until after the detached loco had been created. The result is that the trains controlled by the Rule never depart and just sit there waiting for the Rule to be satisfied. I've attached two saved sessions: one at the start of the test when the original trains are arriving at Dawlish Warren (where the action takes place) and another when the divides have all been completed. In the latter save, the F2 list shows the two trains that are still waiting for the Rules to be satisfied several minutes after all the dividing activity is completed. Another one for Mantis, I believe. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |
