Many thanks to the person who sent me a newspaper clipping, who only signed their name as "J". The envelope didn't even have a rubber stamp indicating where it came from!

I also got a newspaper clipping from 'J'! For some marketing thing i think

I think the page was from the times from 2009 some time

Not too sure. didnt take too much notice as our marketing dept are paid to do that! Little post-it note stuck on, looked like genuine handwriting to me!

I've had relatives receive a similar thing - the fact the handwriting looks so genuine and unique makes people open it. Quite an effective method; whether the article is actually read or not is another issue!

It's about marketing, coincidentally enough. Has my name (although not my preferred name), is almost certainly newspaper print, complete with the frizzy cut lines, does indeed have "handwriting" on a post-it note, came in a "handwritten" envelope, 2nd class stamp... I wonder whether his marketing splurge has this technique in it?
