Can anyone help me? I'm trying to get 2N09 (Stratford Low Level to Richmond} from the Up Platform to the Down Line via Signal 504 but I cannot get the route set; every time I try to use the signal the message board tells me "subroute locked in opposite direction". What am I doing wrong?

Terry Unfortunately, the question as phrased is in the "how long is a piece of string" category. What am I doing wrong?Put all signals in the area back to stop and ensure that no track circuits are highlighted. Signal train 5N09 from S509 to S512 (Down Channelsea Jn) then onto S531 and S535 (P2 Stratford Low Level). It forms train 2N09. Barry, I cannot find any of the signals you mention! I have uploaded a screenshot of the position of 2N09 at Stratford Low Level; as you will see, S504 should enable the movement for 2N09 to move from the Up platform to the Down Line but I cannot set this movement up. I could route the train using S113 to the Down Line but this may be ignored or challenged by the driver!  Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Terry Log in to reply |

Having looked at your screenshot it looks like the route is set from another signal into platform at stratford LL, Not sure what siganl it is but have highlighted in the picture attactched.  you need to cancel the route from the highlighted signal firstbefore trying to set the route for 2N09. Also this wiki page may help you identify what signals and various aspects of screen layout are Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Well spotted! I thought I had cancelled all the relevant signal routes but evidently I had not. Problem solved, many thanks to you and all contributors. Terry. Attachment shows route now set for 2N09.

I was quoting from the latest Loader version of the sim. Glad you took Postal's advice and now your problem has been solved.
