Hi Guys. As a keen SimSig'er i was just wondering what sims were expected to be released shortly? I heard the welsh valleys but wondered if there were anymore southern ones out there. would be happy to be a tester too as have so much time on my hands. hope everyone is well. Log in to reply |

On occasions, information is given out on sims being made ready for release. It has happened prior to a SimSig meet for example. Generally though SimSig does not normally announce what sims are expected for release ahead of time. Any information that is released is generally announced on the forum though. As for testing, testing is actually a complex affair. It requires you understand signalling practices and how SimSig works in order that you can spot things that are incorrect or do not work as they should. As a result, it's generally something you get invited to do. Those that are asked have usually got some familiarity with the signalling in the area being simulated, or they have shown knowledge and experience of general signalling practices and/or how SimSig works through activities such as creation of TT's, extensive playing of multiplayer sessions, or answering questions on the forum or indeed, may be involved in railway signalling in some way for a living.
