Has a sim covering Paddington been discussed? If it has what was the outcome? If not is it possible to have one from Paddington to meet up with the other simulations eg Didcot. covering the cross London link, heathrow etc. Appreciate it would be a lot of work, but having used to work a Paddington and knew all the routs out of there quite well at one time it would be a bonus to run this under Simsig. Thanks

Unfortunately, Slough New IECC is on this list, which means Geoff cannot simulate the area you have requested. As Far As I Know, Slough PSB (from just after Hayes & Harlington to just past Maidenhead) and Reading PSB (Maidenhead to just past Cholsey - where it would link to SwinDid SimSig) are possible, but both are definately other "Wish List" simulations. I dont think that it is possible to do a Simsig of London Paddington as the area is controlled from Slough New IECC, So due to a conflict of intrest with Tresim (Geoffs Company) it is not possible to work on this area. However someone correct me if I am wrong

A simulation prior to resignalling is possible ( The former Old Oak common PSB ) but this requires full signalling diagrams of the area.

Thanks for the information posted. It makes sense when one knows the technical reasons why a sim may not be possible. Well one hope that the future may bring it on a sim sometime. Thanks guys

Shame it looks like it couldn't be done in a recent era at least as I've got an [obviously] expired WTT from 2009 that'd I would love to see 'put to good use' so to speak. Still, I would really enjoy a Paddington simulation of at least some era.

If it could be done, Airport Junction would look somewhat like this, at 10:30 in the morning. On Thursday 15th October 2009: I should say that this is ONLY a mock up, which in itself is Work in Progress. Log in to reply |

Is this something to do with your rail operations simulator?

Possibly got me confused with another member Tom, I'm just idly doodling what SimSigs would look like if built... I had a look at that rail operations simulator, but wasn't particularly blown away by it.
