OK just submitted this scenario for officer dibbles 2014 TT. Ive recreated the London Underground strike from January 2017 and it makes very interesting work for Kings cross panel and Finsbury Park panel. Careful work is needed by these signallers and with delays on will be much fun! Fully tested thanks to the community. Release notes below. This Timetable was created by Officer Dibble and re-mastered by Chrisdmadd based on 09/01/2017 LU Strike. Its Autumn 2014 and the London Underground is shutdown due to industrial action. Great Northern Services for Moorgate are being diverted to Kings Cross from start to finish. Some services will terminate at Finsbury Park and reverse at Drayton Park. As you would expect 2 doesnt fit into 1 so there will be delays into Kings Cross particularly on GN services that have been diverted. These services may be held outside of Kings Cross on the US2 to await platforms. On the day of the strike many Moorgate trains left Finsbury Park on time and arrived 20L into Kings Cross. Diverted trains ran into Kings Cross in service but ran empty from Kings Cross to Finsbury Park PL8 to work their return service from here. This is replicated in this TT. *** Kings Cross Panel *** You will come across platform conflicts, some services will have to wait while a platform will become available within a few minutes. Some Moorgate trains will have to wait a while longer. Moorgate trains will run into KGX but then turn back to Finsbury Park to sit and wait for the return workings. Keep an eye on therse services and their TTs as they may get in the way of a non diverted service leaving KGX. *** Finsbury Panel *** You will need to keep an eye on trains to Drayton Park, check their TT's as many switch platforms and some later in the day run to Moorgate to reverse. You must also watch for services coming from KGX for Platform 8 via the DG (Diverted trains). These services will be early from KGX and will require careful regulation. Enjoy! Great fun Chris. One little clitch, early morning train 3A00 is TT KX 01:18 P4. However P4 is occupied by 3N04 due out 01:25. Kings Cross is practicely empty. Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply The following user said thank you: chrisdmadd |

That little glitch is in the original officer dribble's timetable. I always took that platforming as an original timetable error that was left up to the signaler to correct. Log in to reply |

Had to give this a bump but also to say thank you again to Chris, this is truly a timetable to keep you on your toes and many thanks for creating it. It would be great if there were more such as this for not just Kings Cross but other panels too, because it breaths new life into an already existing timetable. Thanks to Officer Dibble too for the original creation Log in to reply The following user said thank you: chrisdmadd |

Doing some work to this Timetable to bring in a few more tweaks and some more interesting moves for those wanting a challenge. This should have been done a long time ago but i saw a MP session the other day using this TT and its inspired me to work on it a bit more. Update to be released this week... Really enjoying this scenario... One thing I don't understand though is if trains can run empty to Moorgate at some part of the day, why couldn't they all just ran as tabled but without passengers?

I suspect crowd control and/or making detraining clearance checks at Finsbury Park. With no tubes (on the tube lines) easier to take them to Kings Cross that try to get them both to get off in the first place and then away on other already full trains at Finsbury Park. Bill Log in to reply |

Alternatives would have been dump everyone at Finsbury Park or Drayton Park but then you would be leaving most people stranded so to speak as there’s no tubes to get them into the city. Limited numbers ran to Drayton park which was staffed at certain points of the day. ECS trains ran to Moorgate and presumably needed no staff there. All the other stations on the line were unmanned so couldn’t run anything in service there. Where it was totally impossible to run trains or timetable into was missing I’ve obviously tweaked it to keep it interesting for users. Keep your eyes peeled for V2.0 which has all the ECS moves timetabled. Log in to reply The following users said thank you: James67001, kpl455 |

I'll continue using the 'V1' timetable for my multiplayer game that is currently in operation, but if I come to run the same TT in the future i'll give the updated version a whirl.

In times that the NCL is unstaffed, there was a swing board that came out that told drivers not to stop as the station was unstaffed - there's a video about it on Youtube. I think the only reasons why the services ran ECS to Moorgate was simply because 1. It was operationally simple to do as it was easier then reversing at Drayton Park and 2. Kings Cross is usually busy anyway so trying to put 2 into 1 doesn't always work. Log in to reply |

It was only 8 trains that ran ECS to Moorgate and turned there, they were eveing peak trains for extra capacity. All class 3's. The rest turned at Drayton Park or went to kings cross but were all significantly delayed due to the capacity issues at KGX. Certainly fun to recreate! Log in to reply |
