Apologies if this is a stupid question however I am new to SimSig so please forgive! I cannot work out how to get 6B30 from the Dn Main into Ford Sidings. I have set thw point's in the correct position using the GF levers. However once this is done I cannot accept the CR5 slot so cannot get the train beyond the first main aspect signal beyond Llantwit Major station. If I get the CR5 slot before using the GF points I cannot get the A key GF release therefore not enabling me to set 3a + 3b crossover points. Any help for this rather perplexed signalman would be much appreciated. Many thanks. Log in to reply |

Bring the train to a stand at CR5 signal, wait for the overlap to time out. Then release the ground frame.

You'll need to replace CR5 slot in order to release the frame.

Hi everyone. My problem is not to put the frame correctly to enter Ford Sidings but to put either signals 1 to enter or 6 to go out in proceed position. The 1 and 6 sliders in the window are blocked in the up position while the 3,4 and 5 are on the down position. Thanks for your help, haven't found any comment on this subject yet. Log in to reply |

Ok, I've found the way finally, you have to put the slider 4 back to it's up position before putting either the 1 or 6's. Sorry to bother Log in to reply |

Just came across this one myself and ended up frustrated so thought I'd write a step by step for anyone coming in at this one blind because it's not obvious what to do... A train wanting to go into Ford Sidings coming from Aberthaw and onto the Cowbridge Road section of line passing the CR5 token as it does... Do not authorise the train to go to the PT3451 token, and instead allow it to come to a complete stop at Signal CR4 (this is the one to the left of the signal with PT3451 above it (which is actually signal CR3)) Once at a stop click both A and C options above F, they will flash. On the menu bar (the one with the clock) click SHOW, LEVER FRAMES then FORD SIDING, which will open the ground frame and signal control On the left find two tickboxes called KEY C and KEY A, click both. The A and C options on the main screen will now be solid Slider 1 controls the down main signal (towards Bridgend). Sliding this down will set the signal to "enter the siding" Slider 2 controls the ground signal on the up main. Sliding this down will set the signal to "enter the siding" Slider 3 controls the down main crossover point and is locked or unlocked using slider 4 Slider 5 controls the up main crossover point Slider 6 controls the exit ground signal (CRFS1) which would be used to signal release from the siding onto the mainline So once the train is stopped at CR4 and the groundframe keys are open and set to F, set slider 5 to down, then 4, then 3 to down before returning 4 to UP Then set lever 1 to down to signal the driver to proceed. The train will cross the crossover and enter the siding. Once clear... Reset 1 to up, then 4 down, 3 and 5 up, 4 up Now UNtick the KEY C and KEY A checkboxes on the lever control box, then rightclick the corresponding (now flashing) controls on the main screen And you're done Log in to reply The following user said thank you: KeithD60 |
