i have some whare have gone and put them (in a safe place) working tt from the 80s. i will try and dig them out if you wish and scan them for you.
I already have the main timetables needed, although I'm missing the fringes - the Worksop line passenger workings, the Hope Valley line, and Chesterfield-Clay Cross. What I don't have are: DMU diagrams, NPCCS loco/stock diagrams, and details of non-timetabled freight services.

You may have fixed this Pascal but 6T10 needs to divide front at Kilnhurst Goods loop. Also 2Y17 needs re-platforming as 4A is occupied i put it in 1A, the return working 2L24 also needs changing to 1A.

Sorry if this has been fixed already but i have 9T03 from Roundwood 11" Mill going to Tinsley Yd via Rotherham, but there is no route that way. The only way i can see is to route via Sheffield with a run round there then route via the Worksop line.

Is it possible to do a double-reverse at Aldwarke Jn instead? Pull out of the sidings, reverse back to north of the junction, then reverse again and head for Rotherham?

Forest Pines can't really answer your question as I haven't got my PC back from being repaired. Read your response Re: Sheffield 1986 & fully understand. Didn't really want to play it, just to see if you may have something i am missing.

When you're ready, message me your email and I'll send over my working notes. They're mostly stored in an .ods file - an OpenOffice spreadsheet document.

Fores Pines my e-mail address is:-
pascalnadin@yahoo.co.uk

I was going to say if you are having difficulty with certain information you require, then I maybe able to help you. I got a list of 1985 Tinsley depot trip working which I will be using in my 1984 Sheffield WTT. I've also got section 'YJ' 1984/1985 Freight Train services WTT for Yorkshire & Humberside areas. I'm awaiting collection of 1984 section 'YE' Passenger & Parcels train services fbetween Chesterfield & York. Then I will have all the info I need, plus what I kept from my time on the railways in the regional control offices.

Noel, will e-mail you the latest version of Sheffield 1991-1994. Thanks for your spreadsheet. I know you're quite busy & my PC has still not been fixed, so I wondered whether you may have the time to do some of the corrections, as I probably won't get my PC back for about 7 - 10 days. Also in the version I send you the run rounds at Woodhouse Sdgs will have to be put in, because when you e-mailed me the version back after you added them, I sent you back at the same time a version where I had added some more trains & I don't think the run rounds at Woodhaouse Sdgs for the trip workings were ever copied over.

Hope this table also helps. Obviously there are Tinsley depot trip workings that go in & out of the yard all day & the list I'm using for my 1984 Sheffield WTT is based around 1985 also. Anyway I'll let you know how I'm getting on with my version once I start it & hopefully it will be ready for testing at least in the New Year.

Thanks for that. I haven't checked through it thoroughly, but the amount of traffic and the flows are comparable to the 1986 WTT that I've been using as source data.

To all those who are playing Sheffield 1991-1994 WTT, I will add the last remaining dozen or so trains over this weekend. When finished I will e-mail the final version to Peter to upload it again on the forum. Sorry for the delay, I am using my sons laptop & should be picking up my new PC before Christmas. Have started my Trent 1987/1988 WTT & I am waiting the arrival in the post of a Passenger & Parcels trains WTT section YE for May 1983 - May 1984, once that arrives then I will also ,ale a start on that WTT.

That reminds me, I haven't sent you my 1986 timetable notes yet, have I?

The 1986 table has about 6 trains left to add in; and about 6 sim-time hours of testing to run; then it will be ready for beta release. A Before-The-End-Of-The year release, I hope, even if it's not ready for Christmas!

(the beta release will be a bit harder than a proper final release, too, because all the Q and Y trains always run, even the ones with conflicting paths)

It would be interesting to see the variation in the workings between 1984 & 1986. Certainly the traction types will have changed on some freight& passenger services. He nly thing is which WTT to finish first. I will of course finish this one first & probably continue with the Trent 1987/88 WTT which I have already started & if your 1986 is going to be released within the next 4 weeks I think the SimSiggers would prefer to have a chance to go through your one. The only issue for doing a Trent 1980's WTT is that the 1980's scenario isn't available in this current beta release, therefore there has been the need to do some tweaking at Nottingham, namely Nott'm Parcels Concentration Depot isn't on the modern day layout, so I've substituted @Eastcroft RR' as the PCD. This hopefully won't be necessary in the Sheffield 1980's scenario, although Nunnery Carriage Sdgs is missing completely off the plan.

Might be worth holding off on Trent; I'm sure Kurt posted somewhere that he is working on a new Trent - it would be a shame if the TT was incompatible with this!
There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

Nunnery CS are not a problem so far as the '86 timetable is concerned; indeed, they're not mentioned in the real WTT. I did have to insert one Sheffield-Moorthorpe ECS working to complete an "obvious-looking" HST diagram, for the daily Sheffield-London return Executive HST service, which looked like it needed to be returned to Neville Hill for everything to balance.

i think in the late 80`s early 90`s there was a class 31 and 3 coach parcels in platform 1 effectivly splitting the platform in 2 for most of the day. stood at the parcels platform mid way along platform 1 oppasite it.
hope this helps

Got your e-mail Forest Pines & thanks for the info Paul. At some point this Sunday I will hopefully finish off this WTT. I'll then pass it on to either Peter or Noel to upload it to the forum. Noel I've got my new PC today & currently doing the Trent 1987/88 WTT & using the laptop to access the internet, so I'm multi-tasking. Forest Pines, will have a look at your stuff during the week & will e-mail if I can assist your WTT. During 1986 I was a secondman at St. Pancras used to go to Sheffield, Derby & Nott'm, but transfered to Bedford during that year & subsequently worked to Toton also.
