It's controlled by Liverpool Street IECC (Brimsdown workstation, I think) and can't be done I'm afraid. See http://www.SimSig.co.uk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=usertrack:faq:areas_that_can_not_be_simulated for details.

Basically, Geoff develops for TRESIM as well and is under a professional license to do so (believe it's the professional simulators or something) and due to a conflict of interest, can not work on any IECC simulations. If it can be proved that one of the other developers gathered all of the required information and developed it completely separate for Geoff, then I THINK it MIGHT be possible; but I believe that he doesn't want to risk it just in case.

If you're getting bored with Liverpool Street then I suggest you give Didcot a try, it's 2 views with one extra view for advance warning of trains from both Reading and Swindon directions and it's a very good simulation, something easy to do for one player.

Ah, yes, my bad (punishment for that little laugh/joke?), it's not available to download but I believe it's not against the License Agreement for someone to eMail it to someone else. I'm sure someone would be able to do this for anyone who'd like it.

Just as a matter of interest I have seen a screen with the panel on at Tottenham Hale. This must be a satellite screen from Brimsdown then is it. It's located in the supervisors office on the down platform. It sure looked like the good old Sim Sig to me.

Geoff.

Rashan,
It's probably used to monitor expected arrivals at the station for station announcements etc. No doubt some of the boys in the know will let us know.
Have you tried Waterloo....a few more screens and plenty of trains but not as big as some of the other Sims.

Geoff

I know exactly the thing you're talking about having seen it myself too. It's "P2", a system used at a lot of stations to monitor the progress of all trains in the area. It doesn't just show them the immediate area too, I've asked someone in the know and they tell me it can show them "Livst to peterb" (London Liverpool Street to Peterborough) although didn't mention if that was via Cheshunt, Cambridge and Ely or via Ipswich too, but I'd assume it is only the former.. It can show staff all sorts of information; the headcodes change colour depending on the progress of the train - I think it's: Blue = Early, Green = On Time, Yellow = 2 minutes late, Yellow/Red (diagonal divide) = Between 2 - 5 minutes late and then Red = 5 minutes late or more; along with a whole host of other information.

Yes they could use it for train information relating to station announcements however in reality they normally use the other system they have at their disposal which shows them a list of trains in the order that they're in (or at least should be in). Of course using the two together should ensure that their information is accurate (which it normally is anyway).

Yh i know where it is

and your right Blue means the train is early Green means the train is on time yellow 2mins late or 3 and Red 5mins or more

And yh iv been picture brimsdown workstation controlling Tottenham Hale and i think it fits with picture im thinking what the Next Liverpool Street IECC will be like. But one thing i understand is What this Conflict and intrest is about and getting the required information.

Im only asking because i just want to experince new place on the West Angila and that.

And also somebody was working on a Harlow one but i dont think thats nececary to do because Liverpool Street control up to Bishops Stortford and Marks Tey. After that it gest passed on to the Cambridge signalman and Colchester signal i think.

I work on the floor below Liverpool Street IECC. This is what I believe is "upstairs"

There are 2 workstation covering Liverpool Street station. These workstations look identical, could both in theory control the whole area from Liverpool St to Bethnal Green/Bow Jn (as in SimSig). The control of the area is divided between the 2 signallers operating the workstations. They are known as East and West - East being the Great Eastern (GE) services towards Colchester, and West being the West Anglia (WA) services towards Cambridge.

On the GE side, the next workstation is Stratford (who I have a great many dealings with!), and then I believe onto Ilford, but I am unsure and don't know the names beyond that. The GE workstations eventually fringe with Colchester (IECC? PSB? ASC? I'm not sure) just beyond Marks Tey station.

On the WA side, the next workstation is Hackney. It controls from Bethnall Green and through Hackney Downs station, where the line splits via Seven Sisters and Brimsdown/Chingford. I do not know the bonudary from the Hackney workstation towards Seven Sisters. I do know that the Hackney workstation controls the line along the Chingford branch. After the Chingford branch junction ("Clapton Jn"on the WA main line, the next workstation is Brimsdown. They control from just beyond Clapton Jn, across Coppermill North Jn and Tottenham South Jn (see the fringe on NLL SimSig), and on towards Brimsdown station. I do not know where this workstation ends, or the names of any other WA sworkstations. The WA workstations control up to Standstead Airport, and beyond Stanstead North Jn the signal box at Cambridge takes over.

Officially, the WA workstations and the GE workstations are separate jobs with separate line managers, with the 2 Liverpool Street workstations both counting as GE. The GE and WA jobs are therefore treated as spearate entities, even though they share the same operating space, and even fringe with each other! A Signaller is therefore either GE or WA. The GE signallers are graded one leve higher (9) than the WA signallers (8). Some staff start on the WA side and apply for a promotion through the internal vacancy list for the GE side. If they are successful, then they are no longer WA signallers, but once-in-a-while they may be asked to cover a WA workstation in times of last minute sickness, etc.

And regarding an extention to Liverpool Street SimSig, this cannot be done for the reasons stipulated in earlier posts.

Oh ok

So what your saying is Great Eastern and West Angila work seprate for Liverpool Street after they pass it on to Stratford and so and same applies with the West Angila

But Liverpool Street dont Control Stratford or the Hackney work stations i undestand completly what your saying here mate but so Liverpool Street dont control up to Stratford or the Hackney area ?

There is the signal box "Liverpool Street IECC", and then there are the 2 workstations "Liverpool Street East" and "Liverpool Street West" contained within the aforementioned signal box. Liverpool Street East workstation controls up to Bow Jn and Liverpool Street West workstation controls up to the Bethnall Green/London Fields area. Other workstations at Liverpool Street IECC take over from there as described above.

The only areas listed in my previous post that are NOT based at Liverpool Street IECC are Colchester and Cambridge, which are the fringes for the GE and WA sides respectively.

EDIT:

So, in total, there are 11 workstations at Liverpool Street IECC. 6 of these are on the GE side, incuding the 2 at Liverpool Street station, and 5 of these are on the WA side, which I believe at least 1, if not 2, are purely for monitoring level crossings.

Ah i see Thank you for the understanding

So whens the contructions of the other signal boxes going to constructed because it would be working for both West Angila and Great Eastern . Because i live in Edmonton Green i just want to see me control the signal in the area i live in and that would cool to have game where i can control signals for train in the area i live and where i take the train to school. Im wishing there will hope for a release on some SimSig simulations for us to use and Good Luck to those people who are doing the best they can to sort the situation out.
Thanks for the understand mate

Rashan 170. The second post in the thread told you that the remainder of Liverpool Street IECC (as in, everything that is NOT Liv' St' East and West workstations - the existing Liverpool Street SimSig) cannot be done due to the nature of Geoff's (the SimSig boss) work.

The link provided was Areas that cannot be simulated
