Something else I've noticed when using the latest released Exeter, is trains calling at Totnes give a "wrong platform" error in your message window and score, even though it is the correct platform according to the timetable (and besides an up train couldn't get to p1 !) This is probably a known issue, but I can't see any other report of it here so I thought I'd better mention it. Alan Log in to reply |

I would hazard a guess that this is simply a minor error in the timetable and whoever wrote it accidentally selected "1" instead of "2" - an easy mistake to make, especially considering how many stations on the Great Western Main Line use unconventional platform numbers*. Which timetable were you using at the time you received this error and which train was it that had the wrong platform number? * = By that, I mean that on most lines that head into/out of London, the lower platform number(s) tend to be for trains heading into London. Take Finsbury Park, outside of London King's Cross for example - Platforms 1 and 2 are used for trains heading into London ("Up Trains"where-as Platforms 3, 4, 5 and 6 are used for trains heading out of London ("Down Trains"). P.S: Shouldn't this thread be under 'Timetables' and not 'Simulations'?!! Thanks UKTM and Peter UKTM I put it here because I thought it was the sim rather than the timetable, as the platform numbers are displayed on the schematic and the train was using the correct one! Alan Log in to reply |
