I'm currently having a blast playing the April 2010 timetable on the Kings Cross sim, however I think I've found something - On Thursday, 4E24 in real life had to stop at K915 to use the signal phone now while I don't have any clue of the length of the train I can confirm that the loco was stopped just short of the signal with the rear of the train just inside Platform 2 by K910 which enabled a route to be set in or out of Platform 3 however the same train if the same exact size is used actually blocks access in or out of Platform 3. Which brings me to my second question, in real life Hertford North can only take 7 car trains so in the sim, what is the maximum length of trains that will fit the platforms without blocking other track circuits? Sim has the TC length at Platform 2 of 520m (between the signals), Trains stop around 9/10m short to train slightly over 500m should be OK. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |
