Within the next couple of days I am planning to go to a few locations along the line covered by the Wembley Suburban simulation to grab a few location photos. The main location I'm going to is Willesden Junction (Low Level) to grab some photos of the bay platform and London-end points/signals, as I said I would do here (indeed, I did go there but on the day in question there was a broken down train at Stonebridge Park causing disruption and by the time I eventually got there it was too dark).

The reason for posting this is that I wanted to ask if anyone would like any specific location photos? If so then please reply below with your request, ensuring you make it crystal clear exactly what you'd like a photo of.

Before requesting a specific location photo, please look around on the Internet for any pre-existing photos of the location you're interested in. A few suggestions for places to look;

- The station's Wikipedia article, the URL for which is usually in the format of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/x_railway_station where x is the stations name, e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bushey_railway_station
and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watford_Junction_railway_station
If you've found this white text then congratulations, but please ignore it as it's just acting as a new line spacer thingy
- National Rail Enquiries website page for the station, look at the 'Stations Made Easy' information and it shows various photos around the station (even in the toilets! :O)

- A search on a popular photo sharing website, such as Fotopic or Flickr

- A search via a search engine's image search feature (e.g. Google Images, Bing Images, Yahoo! Image Search, etc).

Please note that whilst I am offering this to people, I cannot guarantee I will visit that location for you, particularly if I can find a suitable photo already available online. Also, I will not entertain any silly requests, e.g. A photo of passengers waiting for a train at Watford High Street.

I look forward to receiving requests.

Thanks for reading.

Anything that you'd be willing for me to use as a splash screen would be welcome.

If you're at Watford High Street, a shot towards the old Croxley Green branch would be nice.

Yes, was intending to say that I'd be happy for any of the photos to be used as a splash screen. I'm loving the ones so far, the one at Watford Junction of the Class 313s all lined up is my favourite!

Watford High Street added to list of locations to be visited.

Unfortunately I've had a busy week doing other things so it's likely that I won't be able to get out and take these photos until next week now...but that's got to be good as it'll give more people a chance to request/suggest further locations. Just to confirm that so-far I've only got the following locations;

    » Watford High Street, for photos towards the old Croxley Green branch (requested by Clive)

    » Queen's Park, for photos of the bay platform and London-end signalling/point-work (self added).

So if you've got a request then get it in now

I've got a few pics here you could use:

Two 1972 stock units, Queen's Park, plats 2 & 3:

313119 at the buffers, Watford Junction, platform 4:

378017 and an unknown 313, Watford Junction plats 3 & 2:

A 378 and two 313s at the London end of Watford Junction:

And finally, Pendolino 390050 with its coupling exposed on platform 6 at Watford Junction:

These were all taken by myself on December 30th 2009 on a very wet Wednesday morning.

Added to list, which now comprises of;

    » Watford High Street, for photos towards the old Croxley Green branch (requested by Clive).

    » Stonebridge Park, for photos of the signalling and probably point-work at country-end of the platform (requested by Ipswich).

    » Queen's Park, for photos of the bay platform and London-end signalling/point-work (self added).

Should be doing this sometime next week (weather dependent) and I'll post up my results once done so any more requests then please do get them in.

I have just remembered that the website called Anorak heaven might be of some use for the Stone Bridge Park depot pics that someone required I apologise in advance if this was mentioned before.

Hope this helps

Hello jimgos2005,

I don't think it has been mentioned before however looking at that website reminds me of it as I've seen it before at some point - wish I'd remember it though! Whilst some of the photos on there may be appropriate, the problem is that I suspect they will be under copyright so permission would likely be required prior to being used. I have no objections if someone else wants to do this, or if no one does then I shall do it myself.

Regarding the original purpose of this thread, I need to clear some space a memory card on my camera to have the space to take the photos, but hopefully this should be doable in a few days time so it shouldn't be long until I go out onto Wembley DC Lines to take the photos. This means that this is pretty much the last chance to get your requests in for consideration.

Thanks.
