Hi all, I was just wondering if Croydon/Three Bridges is being developed at the moment? I know the old adage of "It'll be ready when it's ready when it's ready"; I'm not asking when it'll be ready, just if it's in the development pipeline (to be released when it's ready). Thanks, Sam Sam Wainwright Log in to reply |

I'm 'in the same boat' as ajax103 in that AFAIK yes it is still in production, all three parts of it. By that, I mean that I believe it's 'coming along the tracks' as three different simulations; Croydon (controlling the very busy area of Selhurst/Norwood Junction - East Croydon - South Croydon (including Sanderstead on the line towards East Croydon/Oxted)), Gatwick (not sure what that control area is) and finally Brighton. Can't wait for the release as they'll surely be fantastic simulations for major multiplayer chains Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for. Thanks Geoff, that's all I need to know. I shall now sit back and wait with great anticipation for it to be released! Sam Sam Wainwright Log in to reply |

Indeed, I was a bit disappointed by the replayability/complexity of Wembley Suburban (not the fault of the Simsig devs I hasten to add), but these three sims should be excellent!

Not for me to say, but my gut feeling is that they could be coming out at the July Meet at London this year.

If they are then that would be great news - if not then it's no big deal as it means more time in development.

History tells me that one probably should not go guessing at which simulation(s) are planned for the meets. Peterborough (20th March 2010) was a surprise release of the 'McSimSig trio' which were kept very quiet until then! Wakefield (26th March 2011) was a surprise with the release of Worksop and South Humberside, again kept very quiet!! Derby 2010 (November 13th)...well... GeoffM said: Three Bridges (Gatwick, Croydon, and Brighton), Lancing, Lewes. and Oxted chained and under test. London Bridge also running but not chained. Finally, also Euston (pre-Wembley) running but obviously not chained. I believe so though I don't know much info on it, London Bridge was shown at Derby a couple of years ago (or last year?) and the map looked complete but I understand it will be a few years off yet...from what I heard that day anyway

Last I heard about London Bridge is that it's a few years off yet but as with many other SimSig simulation I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

The original developer hasn't finished anything for years which is why London Bridge was written from the ground up with a new developer (me), and that may happen to Gatwick and Croydon too.
