Water Orton can be found in the Saltley sim, which is not yet released.

Nuneaton's now controlled from Rugby; I'm not sure how far the PSB covered pre-resignalling (my Quail maps are 160 miles away), but the station area itself would certainly be quite interesting with the various conflicts. Nowadays I can't see it being too exciting though, apart from a few moves.

I've got quite a few signalling diagrams that cover the Nuneaton area & more. However I'm currently looking at a signalling diagram dated April 1976. This has got Nuneaton PSB on it. According to this diagram Nuneaton PSB signals only go as far as NN117 on the WCML Up Slow towards Rugby & NN118 on the Up Fast towards Rugby. The first signal on the WCML Down Slow is NN120 & NN119 on the Up Fast. That said it may well have controlled a few more signals towards Rugby, but they aren't shown on this diagram. On the Coventry Line this diagram goes as far as NN137 which is on the Up Coventry line & is the first signal on the Up Coventry Line from Nuneaton station. The first signal shown on this diagram from Coventry on the Down Coventry Line is NN78 which is the signal protecting the junction with the WCML opposite Nuneaton PSB. On the Leicester Line Nuneaton PSB doesn't control any signals on the Up Leicester Line as the first signal on that line after departing Nuneaton station is controlled by Nuneaton Midland Junction which is a mechanical signalbox. However on the Down Leicester Line Nuneaton PSB controls NN81 which protects the junction with the WCML. Now going North from Nuneaton station on the WCML Nuneaton PSBcontrols as far as Hartshill where it then hands over control to Atherstone signalbox. The last signal shown on the diagram on the Down Slow Line is NN24 & on the Down Fast Line is NN111. On the Up Slow Line from Atherstone the first signal controlled by Nuneaton PSB is NN109 & on the Up Fast Line it is NN110. These are all 4 aspect coloured light signals with the exception of NN137 signal on the Up Coventry Line which is a 3 aspect coloured light signal. On the Up & Down Birmingham Line Nuneaton PSB only controlled one signal which is NN6 which protects the junction at the north end of the station for trains coming from Birmingham direction & heading through Nuneaton station. On this diagram the first signal shown on the Up Birmingham Line is SY343 which is controlled by Saltley PSB. Abbey St. Junctions first signal is AJ42 which protects the junction where trains can go either via the Avoiding Line or into Nuneaton Station Most freights ran via the Nuneaton Avoiding Line which was controlled by Nubneaton Midland Junction on the Leicester Line & Nuneaton Abbey St. Junction on the Birmingham Lines, both boxes were mechanical signalboxes. Nuneaton station had 5 platforms & 7 sidings in & around the station area. However in later years when Nuneaton Midland Junction & Nuneaton Abbey St. Junction signalboxes closed Nuneaton PSB then took control of both these locations. That said I think if Nuneaton were done as a separate sim (as opposed to a part of a bigger one) it would be one of those where a single player could cope quite well with.

Rugby controls north of Watford North Junction, skips Bletchley and Northampton, and controls north of Lichfield. Stoke controls Colwich, the fringes to Stafford, Stoke, and Kidsgrove.

In the latter years I believe Nuneaton PSB would have fringed with Rugby PSB (not to be confused with the current Rugby IECC), Hawksbery Lane, Saltley PSB, Tamworth and Hinckley. Tamworth is part of the Stafford sim and as posted above, there is an unreleased Saltley sim. As for Hawksbery Lane (or Griff going back the 1980s) and Hinkley I would have thought these boxes would either be included in a Nuneaton sim itself or would be left out to be part of any future Coverntry or Leicester sim. Rugby PSB I would have thought would be another sim that it could link to although from reading many of the threads this would clearly be the old Rugby PSB and not the current IECC as that would not be allowed to be simulated.

All the manual boxes (including Hinckley) on the Leicester line have of course gone, and are controlled from a panel at Croft Sidings (or, that was the case last time I travelled the line approx 4 years ago).

I'm sure Rugby SCC (Not Rugby Powerbox) control to just south of Stoke. With Stoke then taking over and then stafford.

Indeed; Stoke took over Colwich (wire degradation in the relay rooms or somesuch IIRC, making it essential to do so ASAP), which (at the time) worked with Lichfield. Lichfield is now part of the Trent Valley WS shown. Stafford was left as an island because they hadn't decided quite what they were going to do there (flyover(s)? bypass?) and it may be that lack of S&T resources had an impact as well (which is why Watford Jc PSB is still in use, albeit slated for Rugby when they do the remodelling & resignalling in the station area).

Having said which, I understand there is some kind of movement to give Wembley Main Line control of Kings Langley Loop - it would be an extremely useful regulating facility for them - and I don't know if that impacts on the Watford plan... perhaps a Watford workstation in Wembley? (But the rate they're going, Wembley may have been recontrolled from Rugby in any case before the Watford job is done .)
