Obviously im slightly biased as to being from the area but how about a peak district type simulation?
it would probabaly suit one player as to a super simulation type but could incorparate a bit of everything if it were to include Chinley/ Peak Forest/ Great Rocks area with associated boxes and then possibly the Buxton Line. This would involve token working/ A.B/ T.C.B with lots of activity 24 hours a day even in the modern era and this could link up to the newer Sheffield simulation at Earles and include/border Hazel Grove.

Does it appear feasible guys?

Knowing the area as well, there are quite a few interesting lines, especially around Buxton and Peak Forest with all the mining traffic.

Would make for an interesting sim.

24-hour traffic would be great, the night can be very dull in both single and multiplay. Cen Scot, for example, has hours without train in the default TT.

This is where historic timetables can be fun: often used to be plenty of freight moving at night... I recall at Junction Road (first box I signed officially) a night shift where I booked 80 trains (this was 1978/9). It was a class B box (minimum was A - for comparison with modern grading the modern minimum grade would've been a crossing keeper in those days; Acton Canal Wharf/Neasden/Dudding Hill were grade A, South Tottenham (before it acquired Harringay Park) was a B as was Acton Wells, albeit the Wells was a good deal busier then than it is now). (I should say that out on the Midland Main Line, meanwhile, Finchley Road was a class C and the bobby there often had an hour or so to rest his eyes on nights!)
