My fellow railway enthusiasts have come up with various names for these locos. Things like "Huxley Pig", "Predator" / "The Predator" and various others which I've now forgotten  Also it has been mentioned to me that these locos are apparently banned from the Lickey incline? :: Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for. There is a bridge for them to hit. The same one as got hit by a kettle recently. Log in to reply |

I saw one for the first time the other week, while I was driving to work. I was surprised that they're not *actually* that ugly. If you're looking from a distance, that is. Such as across a river. And you can't really look, because you're driving. What I did think, though, as I drew level with it, is that seen side-on they do seem to have a slightly dashing rake to the nose. A bit like a Hymek, in some respects. Maybe if you close one eye and squint the other (whilst driving a car on the opposite bank of a river, still.) Log in to reply |
