Just thought I'd drop a quick hello in here. I'm new to all this so trying to get my head round it all at the mo...hope to poke my head into a multiplayer at some point to see how the seasoned pro's do it. Any pointers on how to conquer the steep learning curve would be much appreciated! Cheers Hozza Log in to reply |

Hozza Welcome to world which is SimSig. There is only one real way to learn and that is to do it. Start with the simpler sims (like Royston which is actually a small extract from the full Cambridge simulation) or Wembleysub and then gradually work your way up with sims like Gloucester until you are tackling the more stretching sims like Edinburgh, Bristol or Kings Cross. AndyG has put a tutorial timetable up for Royston (go into the Downloads/Uploads section) which will start you with the basics. Also, don't be afraid to log into a multiplayer session. Most hosts are quite happy to have a spectator watching. You may even enjoy the banter. As a general rule, the posters on the Forum and the players on multiplayer sessions are more than willing to give assistance so don't be afraid to ask for help or advice (and also don't be shy about helping solve problems others have encountered when you are able to help).
