Project X timetable has been released, and hopefully will be visible shortly in the downloads area Project X was the idea that cars had become too expensive to run so trains were used by everyone so the service was increased to nearly the limit of the line. 929 trains in 19 hours. Hope you enjoy, its very intensive so beware before adding failures... {Now in downloads area-Peter beat me by about 30 seconds!-AndyG} Blessed are the true believers, for only they shall walk the Path, and they shall be welcomed unto the realm of the Ori and made as one with Them. Wow, this is a beast. I made the mistake of running it with bad weather, so with late entries and failures the Barnstaple line was quickly 1 hour behind never to catch up, and as for Honiton.... Most of the level crossings it wasn't worth raising the barriers for most of the day! Apart from my errors the timetable held together pretty well. However, I did have a problem with the 1Hxx that became 5Hxx to go into Riverside Yard to run round. They were I think a bit long, so the loco wouldn't re-attach to the stock having run around because it couldn't get back into the join location. I couldn't shunt because of course the stock had no loco so wouldn't budge! I ended up just stepping up the next workings without bothering to run round. The only other thing was the last loco off the reversals that came in and out at Taunton (a nice regular manoeuvre) [0R23 I think] had a similar timetable that ended up at p3 to join another working, but that working wasn't in the timetable, so the loco timetable needs to be changed to terminate at p6 or return to Bristol. All in all a great fun fictional timetable - thanks Log in to reply |

Sounds like a good target for a Multiplayer TT.

I can't speak yet for the problem with the 1HXX or 5HXX trains at Exeter New Yard, however we will look into it and get a new version of the timetable uploaded when the issue is fixed. As for the last light loco of the day that is something we've overlooked and thank you for pointing it out, I'll adjust that on the master timetable. I shall have a look this weekend, been away for about 6 weeks so back to relax and play SimSig. Good to hear you enjoyed it though, never expected anybody try bad weather as a first off. Project X has moved to Westbury now so sometime we will have a chain game of absolute chaos. I have been having a go at this - it's manic! I've never seen so many trains - taunton would be a trainspotters paradise with all those run-rounds! Well done!! (About the only thing its missing is through services to Minehead! (or maybe I haven't got far enough into it!!)) Anyway I had no problem with the 1HXX shunt and run-round*, but I did have a problem with 1B09 joining 2A59. 1b09 arrived first as 2a was running late - when it came to join it didn't make it into the station and blocked the junction. once joined I had to get the resulting train to reverse towards new yard, to clear the junction, then go forward again. Having looked at the timings again, I see 2a59 should have arrived first, then I guess it would have worked fine. * I did have a problem with one that once it arrived, the driver needed the toilet for 30 mins, that did somewhat block the station - in the end I had to cast my magic spell to teleport it away! I think I'll have to start again with the "perfect world" setting! Alan Last edited: 15/11/2011 at 18:54 by alan_s Log in to reply |

" said:Anyway I had no problem with the 1HXX shunt and run-round*That's interesting - which siding in the yard did you run the ECS into? I wonder if they are different lengths. I ran it into the upper one on the display. " said:Interesting theory - but I used the upper line too. Using v2.227.0.0 of exeter according to the exe file. I just ran it back in up to signal 641 (it fitted fine), then the loco could run back into the platform, along the lower line to 645, into the headshunt, then back onto the carriages. Where abouts did yours get stuck? Alan Log in to reply |

It got stuck running back onto the carriages from the headshunt - reporting train in front and not clearing the TC on the point so not reaching the join location.

Odd - obviously the coaches weren't fouling the points or you wouldn't have got into the headshunt! Wonder why it wouldn't re-couple then?!

The coaches must have been too near the headshunt, so there wasn't enough room at the north end for the loco to get fully off the headshunt and back into the siding which it needs to in order for the sim to recognise them as in the same location and initiate the join process. I did try that Andy, and all the other usual options (abandon TT, shunt forward, etc.) Log in to reply |
