Signalbox/interlocking spreadsheet 31/10/2011 at 09:34 #22307

Some time ago there was a website that had a spreadsheet listing all the interlockings in the UK and also what types of signalboxes were in control - for example, whether it was a Westinghouse panel, or a Westpac IV Geographic interlocking etc. I can't find it now - does anybody know where it is?

Thanks.

Hi Geoff, think I've found something that may be similar to what you're looking for. It certainly mentions use of spreadsheets.

bpsr.signallingnotices.org.uk/versions.php .
Hope it helps.
Mal.

Yes, it's in there - the British Railway Power Signalling Register, created by Andy Overton. It's a massive document (with 3 separate spreadsheets, - interlockings, signalboxes, and power framed signalboxes) and it's very much a "live" document which Andy is updating as & when he tracks down more information (with occasional cans of worms being thoroughly chewed on the Blower to resolve things). Probably the ultimate authoritative document.

I thought that might be it when I saw reference to use of spreadsheets. I didn't download as it looks a bit big.

The actual spreadsheet is only 711Kb. The bulk of the zip to be downloaded is a 10Mb+ pdf file which goes through the various columns on the three tabs on the spreadsheet explaining what each of the entries means. The actual zip for download is at this link.
