During the MP game yesterday, I had 5E541 (I think) in P6 at Nott, and called on 6M111 into the platform behind it (P6) as it was about to leave 6 or so minutes later.
When I gave the road for the Class 5, I found that 6M111 jumped over the other train and went to the run round point.

It ran round without incident but the fact that it left the rails and went over the top of the existing train was a little bit of a surprise.
This surely has to be a bug.

Blessed are the true believers, for only they shall walk the Path, and they shall be welcomed unto the realm of the Ori and made as one with Them.

I don't think anyone ever expected a freight train to be given a calling on signal into a station platform occupied by a passenger/ECS train! I believe it's against the UK rail industry Rule Book...

Question: Did the actual train 6M111 move off the platform, or did its Train Description replace the one for 5E541 and it was actually 5E541 that was moving? What did the F2 train list show?

Whether the platform had been filled with another freight, light engine or anything else the point is the train should not have floated over the top of the other one.
This is not a question of Real life and the rule book but a report of a bug in the application which allowed this to happen.

When signalled forward the class 6 went in front of the class 5 which was already there, nothing at all to do with the train description, if it had been the description I would not be reporting that.
Hence the comment flying train, because the Class 6 should have been behind the class 5.

The train list was checked at the time and 6M111 was one minute behind 5Exxx and then in front of it.

Woah! No need to be so angry!

The first part of my comment was a little in jest, but it seems it wasn't seen as such. I must work on my attempts at humour!

The question I posed was to get a better understanding of what happened in this situation. Getting as much information as possible about any bug report is useful, and there are some not-quite-as-experienced players who might not have checked the F2 list before reporting this bug. I just wanted confirmation.

Many thanks for bring this to our attention and I can confirm that this error has been rectified. This won't be inplemented on the sim(s) untill a re-release is done.

Many thanks.

I think something similar happened to me once, when I had a loco running round behind P6, and somehow the loco passed through the train.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

The bug has been traced to the SimSig Core Code that was used to build this version of Trent. When getting the usual message "Train in Front" for only 30 or so seconds, the train in rear passes through the train in front. This version of Core Code has only been used to build this simulation and therefore this bug should not occur in other simulations, but until a re-release, please be aware of this possibility in the issued version of Trent
