" said:In Train Dispatcher, there is usually a 24 hour timetable for every day in the week (e.g., excursion trains on weekends), so you nominate the day as well as the time when you wish to commence. When you eventually reach the end of one day, the next day automatically begins (you don't notice the transition, which is one reason sims like this can become so addictive), and so for the week. I realize this would mean a great deal of extra timetabling for the writers, but offer it as a suggestion to avoid buildup when starting to play.SimSig has a 99 hour timetable so you could start slowly on a Sunday (00-23) and finish on a Monday (24-47 hours) - or later. There are some display issues but it can be done. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following users said thank you: maxand, Didcot |

Thanks Clive & Geoff, looking forward to seeing developments in action. (Mind you, the rate we're going, we'll need a manual to find our ways through the manual for the options we can set ) Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Signalhunter |

May I ask, if someone creates a week-long timetable, is there some way to start on a particular day without scrolling down the whole timetable and dividing the times by 24? Log in to reply |

yes you could since when setting the sim up you can define the start time. the only problem is if trains stable overnight in sim (for example bristol temple meads has trains that stable overnight in the HLS and P1) these won't be in sim and wont be in the sim untill they are manually added to enter via an entry point.

I meant defining the day & time, not just the start time. Can this be done?

Diving way way back in this thread... " said: To set a route I have to know their timetables. How am I supposed to know their timetables if there isn't a berth for me to click on and bring up the Show Timetable window? In this particular situation there are two other details:
Point 2 is useful in general -- 1Axx trains leaving Bristol are always to Bath Spa and Thingley Junction, 1Axx trains entering from the tunnel go via Hullavington -- but occasionally you get the pattern wrong and send trains off the wrong way. Finally, in the particular situation where lots of trains are entering at 00:00 exactly from assorted sidings, I think it's "socially acceptable" to lean on the "pause" button a lot, since you're really getting the past half hour's worth of activity all at once.
