Some parts of the Wiki, particularly the two Glossaries, are auto-indexed to save users having to sort the pages manually. As you have no doubt noticed, this converts all page titles to lowercase too, which can make it difficult to distinguish between a word and an acronym (which should be all upper case). I don't suppose there's any way round this? If I create a page with a title in upper, title or sentence case it is automatically changed to lower case. More importantly, some entries appear out of alphabetical order because the author omitted to separate words with underscores. For example, approachlit (Approach Lit) appears below approach_locking (Approach Locking) instead of above it. It would be nice to rename the page approach_lit so that it appears in the correct place but so far I haven't found how to do this. Is there a way? Log in to reply |

There is no easy way to rename pages. You have to find what links to it, change those links, copy the text to a new page with the correct title, then remove all the text from the old page. Just the way DokuWiki works - including casing.

Thanks Geoff. Having done all that, how does one delete the old (now empty) page so it does not appear in the list? Log in to reply |
