Think I'll pop along and make my first official meet; arriving from Manchester. Place booked. There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway. Log in to reply |

Oh, also - I can bring a widescreen laptop if needed, is it worth bringing it along or are plenty already expected?

I've just booked for me and expressboy1983, the thing is before I fill out the form...how do I add two names for the name badge? I don't want to put 'James, Simon' and end up with one badge for me saying 'James, Simon' lol! Cheers, James. Log in to reply |

I don't want to put 'James, Simon' and end up with one badge for me saying 'James, Simon' lol!As well as the payment side of things, you need to go to the Events section of the site and fill in the relevant details for the two of you. The badges will probably be generated from this listing, so if you don't have an entry on that list, you won't have a badge. It is rather important to have a badge; previous meets have seen a small number of free-loaders who have eaten without paying so there may be a policy of "no badge, no food" at this meet. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

James Can Simon not just log in and put his own name onto the Events list? If that is not possible, send me a PM in the week before the meet and I'll remember to create 2 badges. Looking at the small print on the Events page, it now advises "Please pay in the Shop before booking". Does that mean that the pay-on-the-door option is no longer available? This will be a blow to anyone who wants to make a late decision to attend the meet. On other matters, I'm probably being a bit senior, but is there any option to edit (or even cancel) your booking on the events section once it has been made? “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

This will be a blow to anyone who wants to make a late decision to attend the meet. That particular "small" print (though it's the same size as most of the other text you agreed to) has been on there since the day the event was open. In fact, nothing on that page has altered. As I said yesterday, you can still pay on the door. postal said: On other matters, I'm probably being a bit senior, but is there any option to edit (or even cancel) your booking on the events section once it has been made?Click on "My bookings", then the event, then you can alter or cancel your booking.
