The date for the next meet has been set for Saturday 24 March 2012, and booked at the Railway Tavern by Liverpool Street Station.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Last edited: 13/02/2012 at 14:02 by AndyG Log in to reply The following users said thank you: headshot119, officer dibble, ipswich, Sam Tugwell, birchy74, agilchrist, onlydjw, jimgos2005, partimer |

Can I just check now as to whether there is an age limit for this meet? I hate to ask so quickly but I could do with knowing soon to know what tickets I need to book for a friend.

If I can get the day off work (shouldn't be too hard this far in advance) I'll try to be there for my first one.

I have updated the Wiki page with the date, and some travel details to various London terminals. I am just waiting for Andy to confirm the start time of the meet before I add that in. Here's the current tube engineering works for the meet weekend. Take note though that, as with the last two London meets, the planned engineering works changed closer to the meet weekend. As I've posted this, I'll try to keep an eye on the situation and update closer to the meet weekend if there are any changes to the engineering works. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Just booked my advance purchase tickets. Anyone travelling on East Coast should note that the same priced ticket seems to be available direct into Liverpool Street if you put in "Avoid Kings Cross" - takes a bit longer, but will route you Peterborough-Cambridge-Liverpool Street - not actually much slower by the time you've got across London and paid the extra to Boris! Advice - book early - there was already a difference in availability between last night and tonight! God bless, Daniel Wilson Log in to reply |

Should be at this one as its looking likely that my exam will be before the meet and not after as I previously feared.

Good question. I believe the entry fee is yet to be announced but I seem to recall last year's London meet at the same expensive pub was somewhere between £8 - £16 entry fee, including buffet. For those wondering, a pint of Coca-Cola was £2.45 the previous year, £2.55 this year , so I'm sort of half-expecting it'll be £2.65 this year . A bottle of Magners the previous year was £4.50 , I think £4.85 last year and so it wouldn't shock me in the slightly if it was £5.20 this year . The previous year (2010), I recall talking to someone after the meet who said they ended up paying £8 for two bottles of beer/larger (standard 330ml bottles). UKTM - It's a pub in central London, what else do you expect? The real ale didn't seem too badly priced... Log in to reply |

I can't check now because I just see my own completed booking, but the 'I'm bringing a laptop' box had a red star next to it this afternoon (though of course it wasn't actually compulsory). It's also a radio button rather than a check box, which might be a mild inconvenience if someone clicks it by accident. But anyway, booked and paid! Log in to reply |
