Hi all, only started playing these sims around a month ago. Started with Bristol which remains my favourite of the five or so that I've tried. Love the work and detail you guys have put into the sims and your effort of updating and expanding them over the years to make them as good as they are today.

Never been to Britain and I have no other knowledge of British train operations before starting the sims so I've started with a very clean slate. Interesting to see the British signalling operations which does differ quite a bit from our system here in Sydney.

Thanks all and I'm sure in due course I'll get stuck into other sims as well as some of the user-created timetables.

Nil.

Welcome. I'm sure the developers appreciate your compliments so thanks on their behalf (in-case they understandably can't do so themselves).

Since you seem to be enjoying the 'Brizzle' (Bristol) simulation and are seemingly also interested in other user-created timetable too, I'd like to recommend this particular timetable to you. I'm currently running it solo myself and find it a perfect timetable as there is plenty to do without being overloaded, hence recommending it. Hope you download it and at least give it a try. If so, and you like, then I hope you enjoy it!

Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for.

Appreciate the welcome plus thanks for the recommendation! Have now downloaded and will give it a go in the next few weeks.

An alright TT there UKTM. Went though it last week. I think I tried the bad weather version whch I like working because you generally just have trains delayed when they enter your area so you just have to get them through and hope you can save some time or even get back on time if the delay is small.

Now I am playing Kings Cross which might I say is very challenging (and this is on beginner). Currently working through the morning peak and finding that it is taking me at least twice as long as 'normal time' to get through this stage with almost 50 trains in the sim at any one time.

When I saw the login "Aurora" I thought "I wonder if this is another Aussie?" And I was right.

Welcome aboard.
Southern Aurora
Heritage Express

However, Googling turned up two other trains named "Aurora" so maybe I was just lucky.

Welcome. Aurora.

As a NSWelchman, tell me where you feel that British signalling differs from Railcorp's Sydney system.

The Brits have only one set of lights whereas here in Sydney we have two sets of lights for each of our general signals (in the Sydney metrop. area). Plus they have a greater use of flashing yellows.

It has nothing to do with what is shown on the panels.
