Hi there, Could someone help me? A train 5M91 enters from Willesden bound for the down carriage sidings and I don't know how to get it there. Everyone time I set a route, it gives me an 'incorrect route set' error. Simon Log in to reply |

It needs to be routed via the Empty Carriage Line- the 'flyunder' at the Wilesden end of the layout.

Let me show you my plan for sending you home. Please excuse the crudity of this model, I didn't have time to build it to scale or to paint it. I've highlighted the relevant signals in yellow. This threat is old. I routed train 5M91 to signal 94, accepted. From signal 94 to destination, from B to A isn't accepted. How route train to destination? Because from signal 94 only there's track to A. Thanks. Log in to reply |

An excellent sim hoping to join the Loader. To answer your question, 5M91 is required to be signalled from the Up Slow to the Park Street Tunnels via the Up Empty Carriage Line, then reverse to Camden Carriage Sidings. The signals required are: US 149 -> 146 -> 94 -> 81; reverse then 88 -> 105 -> Camden Carriage Sidings. Have fun Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

Please note that the Down Carriage Shed isn't the same as the Camden Carriage Sidings and there aren't any Down Carriage Sidings. You should always be clear which one you mean.

I don't understand full that. I made how Barry put me, from signal 94 to 81, but train is long and stops between those signals. Change long train to 10, now if stop between 81 and 88. Then reverse 88 to 105. From signal 105 2 possible options: 1) To Candem Carriage siding. Only is moved to signal 122 and reverse from 113. If move direct to Down Carried Sed only can move train until signal 69, but is stoped on signal 81 (same than on its entrance from B). Request slot for 11-12, accepted. Before request slot receive message is route for signal B1 or from signal B1. 2) From signal 105 2 options: a) Direct to Down Carried to Down Carried Sed, same mentioned on 1) b) To zone A), only can select to signal W but rest to zone A, cannot select it. How execute then to route it to Down Carried Sed? Thanks. Last edited: 23/04/2015 at 16:39 by Charlytos Log in to reply |

Charlytos Barry has explained how to get to Camden Carriage Sidings. You sound like you want to send trains to the Down Carriage Shed. These are different locations and you need different help to get your train to the Down Carriage Shed. Log in to reply |

Thanks mf by your answer. Bit I cannot send train to Down Carriage Shed, because train only runs until signal 81 and from that signal to Down Carriage Shed cannot send it, neither requesting slot 10-11. Thanks.

Request a slot to either 1-9 or 10-11 by clicking the green roundel, then when a slot has been granted first set route from 69, then from 81. Log in to reply |

Fixed the problem. From signal 94 to 81 train runs well, from signal 81 to 69 is y use pass red signal and shunt options. After request slot for exit 10-11 and from signal 69 to exit without selected track, only change manual track direction and use pass red signal and shunt options going to exit correctly. Thanks to all players that have put their suggestions over that problem on this threat. Log in to reply |

" said:Fixed the problem. From signal 94 to 81 train runs well, from signal 81 to 69 is y use pass red signal and shunt options.Carlos You don't need to pass any red signals if you use the signals correctly. The online Euston manual includes: At the right hand end of the backing out roads is the Down Carriage Shed. This consists of 11 roads reached via two different entrance lines. A slot is required to send a train into the shed from signal 81 on the Up Engine Line 1; if sending it into roads 1-9, you must select which of the two routes you are going to use to get it there. Furthermore, you must set the route from the last shunt signal (69 or 71) into the shed before setting the route up to that shunt signal. The slot is not required to send a train into the sheds from the various shunting necks. The latter also have opposing locking omitted, so it is possible to set up routes in both directions at the same time and let trains just shuttle back and forth. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Were the real-world Euston signallers required to specify exactly how they'd get a train into roads 1-9? Why would it matter in terms of the slotting arrangement?

Postal, pardon reply you, but I cannot execute well route from signal 81 to Down Carriage Shed exit point directly. From signal 94 to signal 81, train runs well getting free light signal. Only can select shunt signals, from 81 to 69, selected route. But train 5M91 arrives to signal 81 stops and doesn't do free run to signal 69. I have to use pass red signal and shunt then begins to run until signal 69. From this signal to exit cannot creat route. Only change manually junctions and use pass red signal and shunt options, then train runs to exit point. I put image when train is running 15 mph from 94 to 81 signal. Train stoped on signal 81, select track from 81 to 69 signal. Shunt hasn't been requested. If I make creation of route from 69 to exit point, appears message: Route alreday set from signal 81. I unselect 81-69 signal, then if can select route from 69 to exit, but cannot select from 81 to 69. Only can make select from 81 to 69 signal, use pass red signal and shunt options, wait train arrives to signal 69 and cancel route 81 and 69 to select 69 to exit point. But should get red signal new use of pass red signal and shunt option to run exit. Put a new image train stoped on signal 81 and select track from 81 to 69 signal: Post has attachments. Thanks John and Postal to answer me. John I sent train 5M91 to exit 10-11, thinking than exit 1-9 was other different exit. How both have different name that was my idea. Made how you put John, Certain, request slot 1-9, then route 69 to 1-9 and then 81 to 69, accepted both and shunt signal puts white automatically running train to 1-9 exit point well. Doing how you put me John, cand send train correctly to 1-9 or 10-11 exit points. Log in to reply |

" said:Were the real-world Euston signallers required to specify exactly how they'd get a train into roads 1-9? Why would it matter in terms of the slotting arrangement?Because there were three separate slots. I don't know the full reasoning for the arrangement, but someone has told me that the interlocking for the entrance into those sheds was the most complicated bit of wiring of the entire signal box.
