In the attached save (1977 TT), 0A05 is sat in P1, wanting to reverse a S28-47 to drop onto 5A05 in 10. If it is routed to the LOS on the Up Slow, it stops correctly behind 46. However, if it is routed to S63 on the DS or S62 on the DF (passing 46 exactly as before), it doesn't count it as passing S28-47 at all, and ends up sat at S63. A bug, or is it assumed that if you set the route across one of the crossovers, the loco shouldn't stop straddled halfway across one? Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Another question arises. Should the driver of a timetabled shunting move, question the signal if the route set prevents the shunt to get to its final destination? Judging from these two interesting posts by kbarber, the driver doesn't necessarily know on which platform his next train is, or even which train he is supposed to couple up. The timetable is, as it seems, provided only for the simulation logic and to aid the player, while the driver relies on the signaller to route him to the correct train.
