I know that it says a freight train was derailed, but from this 'The Freightliner engine, being operated on behalf of Virgin trains, derailed at Bletchley south junction shortly before 02:30 GMT.' makes me think that it might be the pretendalino since what oter services do freightliner run on the behalf of virgin trains?

Look at the panto!

90036 on 1M11 got terminated at Crewe
90021 on 1M16 got terminated at Preston

Down beds tonight cancelled, replaced by coaches. Not sure if last night's up stock has made it to Wembley yet.
Up beds still operating as far as i'm aware.

The sleeper Crews came back to Euston on the Coaches that where laid on. I wonder if they'll sit at Crewe and Preston till tomorrow?

There was talk of sleeper stock via Banbury earlier on - not usre if it happened or not (a bit outsode of my area). There have been some cross country freightliner diversions as well.

40+ photos on Chris Warman's Smugmug site.

The driver has bruised ribs and an injured wrist apparently, and was taken to hospital for further checks, but is not seriously injured. The scene was being treated as a crime scene I understand earlier this morning.

That's about all I can add.

If the up beds are definitely on tonight then the stock from last night's terminated up beds should surely (at somepoint in the next 48hours) head back up north as all the sleeper stock would be in London otherwise!

Well that's the stock from 1M11, 1M16?

I really hope and assume they're going to send two sets of stock back up north over the weekend (allowing for the weather!) otherwise they're screwed!! Friday's probably the worst night to cancel the down beds.

All services were terminating at Northampton early this afternoon. Passengers were being advised if they need to get to London to go to Moor St and go to Marylebone instead.

Not surprising now I've seen what had happened.....

Ships have them as well, although as I don't have access to CCLDB I couldn't post a screenshot. How much is a license costing for that Peter?

I've noticed that- all Rail Replacement Buses appear to be allocated 0B00.

They show in Open Train Times as 0B00 as well - both rail replacement and 'connecting' buses.

Quote from the BBC web pages this morning "You are meant to approach points at a relatively low speed," the spokesman said. "But it looks like that move was taken at a high speed and, as a result, the train has derailed."

This cannot be true of all points surely?

Sad to see that the driver may be guilty until proven innocent. I even read somewhere that it was being treated as a crime scene. What on earth that meant I don't know.
