Unable to get trains out of Exeter depot! 05/02/2012 at 17:19 #28881

Hello.

I'm probably making a noob error here, but I can't work out what it is, my issue is that on all timetables/scenarios I can't get trains out of Exeter West Siding, and into St Davids station, I've tried clicking on all the signals, but it stil won't set a route, although I did just get an error message stating "Subroute locked in opposite direction", I don't know how to "unlock" the subroute, let alone change it's direction!

Also if when the driver phones to say about the red signal, if I respond with a "pass signal at danger" message, the train stays put.

Can anyone help a noob in distress  ?

Cheers.

Tim.

You need to ensure that signal 33 on the Up Main is replaced to danger, before you can route from signals 558, 560 (West Yard Starters) to 658 (LOS signal) on the Up Main.

Have you got a route set from Sig 33 (at Exeter St Thomas) to Sig 35? Trying to set a route out of the yard to shunt sig 658 would give this message. You can also set a route to sig 62 (on the down line which will route trains from the yard which will stop just beyond shunt sig 659.

You can although the SBSIs for Exeter specifically forbid it.

Thats strange though, seems to make no sense to have that move banned.

Sorry correction to my above post it's not the SBSIs that ban that move. I'll have to dig through the other paper work I have to find the source.
