I am new to Simsig but not new to these sort of games. I am a little bored of Rail Controller now so am looking for something new. Can someone tell me which is the best and most complicated free download there is? Another question is I have just downloaded the service file. I need to download one of the towns in the same folder to start? If I like what I see, I will donate. Thankyou for reading. Edit: Looking at the chat, I see that there is a multiplayer function. Do I need to download anything special for that or just download the same city? Last edited: 08/02/2012 at 06:52 by Spike2454 Reason: Another question to be added about multiplayer. Log in to reply |

Yes after downloading and installing the system file, all you need to do is download one of the 'towns' and install it. After this, you should be able to play that one by opening the application for that town. Someone of stronger experience than myself should be able to answer your other questions. Nil. My favourites are Bristol, Exeter and Sheffield. The most complex, based on how difficult they are for one person to operate, are King's Cross, Edinburgh, Trent and Saltley (in my experience of course). Log in to reply |

A good sim to learn something about SimSig is SwinDid in my opinion. But Bristol and Exeter are my favorites too.

Hi Spike, welcome to Simsig. I started with a run on Royston to pick up the basics and now enjoy Lime Street, Exeter among others. Haven't plucked up courage to try Saltley and KingsX yet. They're real biggies. There's loads of help and advice on here and you'll always find answers to problems, big or small. Enjoy Mal. Log in to reply |

You can try your hand at something challenging like Saltley or Kings Cross but in all honesty you would be better in trying one of the less challenging simulations first to make sure you have got your head round what is going on. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Funnily enough, I can't do Saltley much past 07:00 on my own, but I can run a modern King's Cross TT on my own all day. Isn't that weird? I tried KC 1977 on my own once, and collapsed from brain failure at 06:35. That really IS the ultimate TT. Log in to reply |

Multiplayer just works, provided each player has the same binary - different versions of the same simulation won't necessarily work with each other.
