Would it be possible for Glasgow Central to be produced? I believe before its transfer to the West of Scotland Signalling Centre, it was an NX panel (Correct if wrong). Would certainly be a busy one. I don't know how far the old panel used to control out to but I suspect it would be a bit like Liverpool Street as a busy but small sim. Ive produced a TXT mock up (some guess work involved) for what the sim would roughly look like with the likes of Paisley and the Cathcart circle included. How to view Copy and Paste the text into Notepad, and change font to SIMSIGv2 (FORMAT, FONT). Then make sure to turn Word Wrap off (FORMAT, WORD WRAP). Post has attachments. Log in to view them. i believe it's under west of scotland bullet point and may not be able to be produced but it seems very exciting;scotrail, eastcoast, virgin etc running around simiilar to saltley's busy south-eastern bit Log in to reply |

computeringjl I may not have made it clear. West of Scotland Signalling Centre is the current layout, but it would theoreticly be possible to produce a layout of the old Glasgow Central Panel (I think). "Signalman Exeter" Log in to reply |

Oh clever stuff! Yes, this looks promising. I had Central ages ago on another sim (?) which was a bit tedious to operate, but it showed what a dreadful layout was left after rationisation due to the second bridge being taken out. Come to think of it, many of the layouts such as Saltley and Euston are far from optimal and Simsig is wonderful for understanding the difficulties that signallers face every day and absolute hell when it all gets out of kilter! Best thing is to take the phone off the hook and work through pedantically... - if only!

The current euston layout is much more optimal with separate grade separated routes in and out of each side of the station to the fast lines. Now for windmill bridge!

We have a number of London terminal stations simulated and we have Glasgow Queen Street. However, Glasgow Central would be more challenging and interesting as another Scottish sigsim.
