Absoluteley new to Simsig so advice would be appreciated. Opened up Exeter and 5L65 appears as does 5X00. Signals (different routes) cleared but nothing moves. TT checked for timings and way past dep. time still sitting there. Tried South Scotland with similar results. Must be doing/not doing something wrong. Why no movement? Help appreciated.

Hi mate, Welcome If i am correct in thinking, these moves require movement over red cow level crossing, this crossing is activated by you the signaler. This page in the wiki has more info for you. Level Crossings Log in to reply |

Hello there and thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately it seems that one problem leads to another! After 30 mins 5L65 still sits firmly in Riverside Yd with the crossing clear and the road set to Pl.1. I have tried F2 and shunt forward - no change. About the same time 2C80 shunter from Fairwater Yard at S628 still has not appeared as xxxx at S628 so I cannot interpose , the road is set through to the down main and onward to EXD according to the TT and the first l/c is flashing clear. Looking at F2 it tells me that it is waiting for the correct road to be set??

You have to click the 'flashing' clear for the signal to clear Chris Log in to reply |

Hello Chris, Many thanks for assistance - everything moving now except 2c80 which kept telling me to choose the correct route as far as I can see there is only 1 route to EXD. The mystery remains why it never appeared in the sidings at Fairwater at all. Thanks again.

I suspect the 'wrong route' is only because it's a passenger train on a goods line, the driver just need your confirmation on the 'phone. It has arisen as it's a seed train in an older TT, and the newer sims pick this up. Ideally the seed train should be 5C80, that changes to 2C80 once on a non-gds line. Try ticking the 'use freight linespeeds' box in the train characteristics to avoid the problem. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.
