One for Chris. In the 1980s layout the TD at signal P975 Grimsby Town Up Accept is left behind when a train moves to P3 signal P980. Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

Found another bug at Grimsby Town (1980) Chris. Giving a train the road on the up from platform 3, signal P980 will clear without the LC barriers down. Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

Another two for the 1980 timetable. 1) Ulceby platform is too small for a shunt loco to stand between the signals. 2) Platform 2 at Cleethorpes is too small for a class 47 loco to run round Log in to reply |

Lazlo52, the 2 points you have raised are in respect of my 1997-1998 timetable I presume. That said the first point is that the train length needs altering so that the Immingham Pilot trip can be accomodated in the platform at Ulceby & then go forward towards New Holland grain terminal. The second point regarding the run round of the Cl.47 off 1Z06 in Cleethorpes station. This issue was never raised when the timetable was tested online. However I wonder whether the stopping point of 1Z06 needs altering so that the run round can take place. I'll look into that & speak to some of those who were testing online. Will post the reults when I have found a solution, unless anyone knows one already.

re: 1z06. has its stopping point been set as NX? the train has to stop short of the track circuit fouling the pointwork or else it will remain occupied and appear as though the loco is too long the main issue however is that the 47 needs to move from platform 2 to platform 2 in terms of timetable points. not sure if this is possible havent yet been able to test this working EDIT: have now tested 1z06 and 0z06. if the stopping point is entered as NX+19 then the train will stop short of the fouling TC and leave sufficient room for the loco to run back onto the train however it does require 0z06 to abandon tt in order for it to stop at cleethorpes buffer stops. otherwise it just sits in the platform and appears to be to long. it isnt however and will fit in the headshunt. however the route for 1z06 (p998 - cleethorpes buffer stops) will not release and so the HS points cannot be moved. in other words, the train will fit but the sim wont allow a run round. hope this helps 58050 "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |

Trains entering via the loop from Marsh Nth Junction to Grimsby Town loose their TD at P974 but it appears at P976 without the road being set. It's possible to RR a 20m loco off 158m train (total length 178m) with the train booked into P2 with FX+75 stop; Problems are that the sim is not fully set up for the RR move, so for now you have to do the following: 1) incoming train needs to be spad past P998 and P96 into the platform (we need to NOT set route, as it won't drop from the 92m TC over the points later); 2) once 0Zxx has detached front, it needs TT abandon, reversed to up (to move it up to 30m TC at buffers); 3) reverse 0Zxx to down & reinstate TT. The loco TT would need these locations: Plt2 - P97(rev) {new location} - Plt1 - P96(rev) - Plt2, and also a shortened route into P2 for the initial train arrival. I've put this as a wish list item for Chris to see if it can be incorporated into the sim. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.
