One feature that I would like to see would be on the level frame menu. Each frame should have a colored dot next to it to indicate the status of the frame. Green = Frame normalized and not requiring release. Orange = Frame waiting release Red = Frame released. Blue = Frame waiting to be handed back. As on larger sims knowing exactly which ground frame a player wants in multiplayer can get quite difficult. As such for the host this would be invaluable. Sequence of events: GF is locked in the normal position with the light on the sim showing normal the dot next to the name shows green. Panel operator requires frame and presses release button on the sim. The dot now turns orange. Host releases the frame dot now turns red. Player is ready to hand frame the normalize button on sim flashes the colored dot is now blue. Rinse and repeat. "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Log in to reply |

As SimSig aims for realism the indications one gets are as per the signal box - Normal and Free.

ive never had a problem when hosting large sims like shumbs with GF. clients just ask for the frame eg "TI oxide GF please" and i reverse it then when they ask again i put it back no problems. the only way i can see it being a problem is if everyone just asks for "the gf to be worked" but ive never had this "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |

I didn't mean that only the host can release the frame. I meant that to help the host in larger games an indication on the lever frame menu could come in handy so they can see at a glance which frame(s) (s)he needs to operate. Especially when you need to do more than one at a time.
