Hi all I am trying to signal train 6V21 into Bromsgrove Oil Terminal (Unitank). I can signal the train to wait at signal 18 however when I try to signal the train into the oil terminal the message 'no overlap available appears'. I have consulted the guide and found the section on overlaps which advised me to hold the train for over a minute at which point the overlap should dissapear allowing the me to signal the train forward but it doesn't happen in this instance. Is there a certain route trains must take to enter into the oil terminal when crossing from the Down main? Please help! Log in to reply |

have you tried using the shunt route (yellow traingle above s18) this will allow you to set a route into unitank no problems

Can't find this train on any of the timetables loaded on my PC so can't test this particular train. However, if it is long enough not to clear the overlap for preceding signal no. 16 on the Down Main then the overlap for sig. 18 will not clear either. In this case the route from sig.18 into Unitank sidings will not set until the route from 16 to 18 is manually cleared. This may be why you are unable to set the route.

As SJ says, you may need to manually cancel the route set at 16 once the train has passed it, to clear the overlap. Other way is as JC says, route from 16 to the 'shunt ahead' white triangle, and you'll be able to set the route 18 - Unitank Sdg straight away. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Log in to reply |
