Hi All, I was working ok on Royston yesterday. Logged on this morning, Opened up Royston and it appears not in its own window, but on the desktop without any menus. So it is unplayable. Strange as it was ok yesterday. I loaded Southampton and this is perfectly OK Puzzled Colin Log in to reply |

Suspect you just need to click & drag the window slightly higher using the title bar so that the 'orange buttons' along the bottom appear OK. I have this problem with paged simulations operating in windowed mode but by doing the above I can see the 'orange buttons' OK. Hope this helps. Hi , Thanks for your help. I have it working in a fashion, but it is not good to look at. I always work with my task bar at the bottom of the screen. I had to move the task bar to the right of the screen to see the orange buttons. I cannot click and drag as I do not have a title bar. There is no window frame at all surrounding the playing area I am playing on two thirds of the screen with the desktop icons I have on the right of my screen showing through. It is like this on Drain as well, but others like Southampton are perfectly OK. Messy to look at but it is working Log in to reply |

What screen resolution are you working at? The sim will fill the entire screen (i.e. no blue window lines, taskbar, or anything) at 1024x768. If you are working on a resolution at or lower than this, for 'paged' sims you need to uncheck the 'windowed mode' box in F3, and hide the taskbar. If you want to keep the taskbar, change the resolution to more than 1024x768 and check the 'windowed mode' box. This does not affect scrollies, which is why Southampton runs OK. Hope this helps. It's likely to be a combination of using a paged sim, your screen resolution and whether the window is maximized or not. Can you post a screenshot? The key with paged sims is that the screen size is fixed. If your desktop size is different, then trying to get it to fit can cause some, errr, interesting situations. You should also note that some sim settings you make carry over from one sim and affect others as well so if you changed the window size or settings in Southampton it may affect how Royston is displayed. I used Royston for the first time today, and it runs in fullscreen (not in a window). Can anyone tell me how I get to look at the WTT in this mode (or how to get it to run in a window). I am running Windows 7 at 1680 x 1050. Cheers Steve Last edited: 04/08/2011 at 21:12 by Jazzman Log in to reply |

First thing to try is to press F3. Have a look at the Display tab in the pop-up to see if "windowed mode" is checked. If you change that, you need to close the sim and reload to see what difference it makes. Whether you are running as full-screen or windowed, F4 should bring the TT up.
