Hi all, my apologies, but I can't find a specific reference to 'FCFS' as shown at March sidings. 6L73 is at sig ME45 for March UP Reception Sdgs. I route to sig MS2 but msg says still waiting correct route. Is FCFS involved and what does it stand for? Cheers, Mal.

FCFS is First Come First Served - so the computer takes control for you and auto routes the trains regardless of timetable order. I think this is correct - please tell me if i'm wrong anyone! Ripley, Derbyshire Log in to reply |

Not 100% sure, but I vaguely remember that March goods loop and reception locations maybe be wrong way round. (ie try routing a train for reception to goods loop, and vice versa.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, will give them a go. Loving the sim, but it certainly keeps you on your toes. This was the first real problem I've come across.

Thanks for that Postal. Must say I'm really into Cambridge, but really took the warnings about Ely and Cambridge stations on board. It's so easy to get in a tangle at both and it isn't even 8am sim time yet and I'm only on 'beginner' setting.

Don't thank me; I'm only the filing clerk. Andy came up with the recollection and fix.
