Enter on time facility 21/06/2012 at 12:10 #33218

When using the timetable editor on this Sim, on the Train details page there is a facility for allowing the train to 'Enter on Time'. Whilst writing a timetable I have been checking this box assuming that when I do a test run through it will allow me to make sure that initially everything in the timetable works when it is running to time. I have noticed that after saving the timetable with this box checked for the various services that I have entered that when I go in again to add more services this box is now unchecked for all entries that I have made to date. I have gone back through and checked the boxes again but again after saving I get the same result.
Am I doing something wrong here? and if so what should be done or do I even have to check the box at all?

That check box will un-tick each time you reload the time table. It is used in games to ensure the train will enter on time, but the value of the check box resets every time the time table is reloaded.
"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

Peter,
I must admit that Headshot's response does seem logical but in order to check I have also gone into Exeter and entered a service into there. If you go into that train details page and check the box for a service that you have inputted, then click ok, even just coming out of that entry without even saving the timetable and going striaght back in again then the check box is already unticked. That being the case, then what Headshot is saying cannot be correct surely. I am puzzleed by this. Do you think there might be something wrong and I should reload the Sim.

No, it should be saved in the timetable. It's supposed to be for critical trains that must enter as close to their scheduled times as possible. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this before!

Geoff,
Thanks for the response. Can I take it then that this function is not working as it should on the respective Sims and may be corrected sometime in the future?

I haven't worked out whether it's just not updating the checkbox when you open the form, or whether it's not storing it at all. But it's been logged as a fault to be fixed, yes.
