Would it be at all possible for the Simplifier to be coded to allow the output material which the user has asked for to be able to be printed off in the same format to present a hard copy when playing some of the newer and refreshed simulations? So where you currently have the "Refresh" and "Close" buttons, you would have a "Print" button next to them which would enable the user to print off a hard copy of the display - if could even work for multi player sessions as clients could create a simplifier for their own panel and use that for the session. I know the Simplifier only shows services in 2 hour periods BUT it's something I think would be useful, indeed would I be wrong in thinking most signal boxes have a paper based simplifier? I appreciate a lot of hard work has gone into providing this tool, I'm just wondering if it can be improved further by addition of the command I'm discussing? Log in to reply |

Under the 'Tools 2' tab in the F4 menu, there is a button named 'Arrivals/Departures' (IIRC), which should do the job

Haven't tried it for Brighton. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

the F8 menu doesnt pick up on any 00:00 timings at all. one existing way to print it out would be to do an arrivals departures report in a spreadsheet format, then print it off (postal will be able to explain this better as i have seen him use this.) " said:the F8 menu doesnt pick up on any 00:00 timings at all.You have to copy and paste the information from the arrdep.txt file as suggested by guidomcc into a spreadsheet then split up the text using the Excel LEFT, RIGHT and MID formulae along with FIND to pick out the break points between the various bits of information. You can't just import the data from the .txt file using the Excel facility to get data from a txt file as the columns are not of consistent width and there is not a delimiter in the txt file to split one column from another. If you know your way round Excel, it is not a hugely demanding task, but if you have never worked with those formulae before, it can be confusing trying to work out exactly what is required to create each column of data. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply The following user said thank you: guidomcc |
